No, everyone can buy it, but this is the wrong place, please take a look at the marketplace.

300 euro transfer fee... that's highly unreasonable aka ridiculous. I'd love to hear Melda justify this. and with melda's checkout partnerships you end up paying an additional 8% over the euro/USD exchange rate making that a $360USD transfer fee!

it is quiet easy i think: he knows how often his plugins got resold and that's a way of making money againplexuss wrote:300 euro transfer fee... that's highly unreasonable aka ridiculous. I'd love to hear Melda justify this.
there is nothing in the transfer process worth 300€. it's justing changing an database entry.
just my 2 cent. but i got labeled a hater anyway so no-one will read this and agree

I agree with you. and yes, those are all justifications from a business sense - certainly not from customer focused sense. oh well.frizzbee wrote:it is quiet easy i think: he knows how often his plugins got re-selled and that's a way of making money againplexuss wrote:300 euro transfer fee... that's highly unreasonable aka ridiculous. I'd love to hear Melda justify this.additionally this high transfer fee (i thought it was 20% of the non-dicounted price) may scare off customers from re-selling and so he tries to bind them on his company and sell full-price products instead. it's just logical but a method from 20 years ago

If it's any consolation, frizzbee, I am also not enamoured by melda for various reasons. One thing Melda taught me was to rigorously check the vendors transfer policy before committing to buy!

Lots of other vendors offer the same benefits but without the crazy high transfer fees. so to me this is not a reasonable justification. but good try.Svama wrote:I understand this system, somewhere he must earn some money, think about lifetime upgrades for free.

Name one such developer with free-for-life updates and unlimited number of machines please, thank you.plexuss wrote:Lots of other vendors offer the same benefits but without the crazy high transfer fees. so to me this is not a reasonable justification. but good try.Svama wrote:I understand this system, somewhere he must earn some money, think about lifetime upgrades for free.

I cant be bothered because your crazy transfer fees are still not worth it. $360US is crazzzzy.

It's a 340 $ transfer fee for a constantly evolving 1700 $ bundle, not that crazy.plexuss wrote:I cant be bothered because your crazy transfer fees are still not worth it. $360US is crazzzzy.
There are 50% discounts on everything once a year.

I just can repost others replies: for an expensive bundle it's not crazy, while considering that you normally have a lifetime free update with best support and even possibilities to make feature requests, while NOT paying anything after paid once for the tool. Moreover - and maybe I am a bit oldfashioned here? - if I buy something, I do not think about selling it again, when it's just a licence. To me a licence normally is bound to one person - so I did not even know that Melda even offers licence transfers.plexuss wrote:I cant be bothered because your crazy transfer fees are still not worth it. $360US is crazzzzy.
And overall: why complaining about a thing you can avoid. If you do not like a policy of a company - simply avoid it. Just buy tools from other companies then. It's totally legit.
