Been running smoothly since that first session I used it when it crashed a couple of times.

Tempo syncing would really take this to another level of usefulness... really great plugin, will send some money your way for it for sure. Cheers.

Good to hear, I'm about to test it in the stable Live trial version right now.

Edit: seems to be working OK in my preliminary testing.

Also regarding tempo sync: I'm not sure if I want to add it. It would be pretty easy to implement, and it could fit neatly into the interface, but the spirit of the plugin is to add chaotic fluctuation, not rhythmic fluctuation. That being said, I bet tempo sync would be pretty cool with the less smooth waveforms (saw and square particularly). So I might give it a shot! But I do try to lean towards simplicity in design.

I appreciate that chaotic fluctuations are where the heart of this is and I love that. I just think the option to tempo sync would make it so versatile and would be great for automations and fills - or to have synced pitch warbles mixed with chaotic ones and panning for example..

Point being.... I don't think it would stray from the original vision and would be so useful. I appreciate simplicity in design as well, a small extra box next the rate or even below it to change it to sync wouldn't have to clutter the GUI. Anyway, I'll leave it in your hands.. I hope you'll consider it as it would take it to another level imo.

Glad it's working properly.

v2.0 alpha 2 is out!

Changes:
  • Added tempo sync
  • Increased maximum oscillator frequency to 20hz
By popular demand, I've added tempo sync. Keep in mind, though, that due to the way Flutterbird works internally, the tempo sync isn't as clean and predictable as you may expect! But I think the wonkiness is more fun and in character for the plugin.

Hi, tesselode!
On my ancient laptop (Win7 32-bit) it crashes every host when I try to show GUI.
Your other plugins are working fine.

What program were you using to get that stack trace?

VSTHost, its error messages are usually that nice.

I feel bad for being quiet for the past few weeks, so here's a small UI update. Besides the graphics being a little tighter, the waveform switches now use a popup menu so you don't have to cycle through every waveform to get to the one you want.

Next on my list is presets and VST3 builds~
