I did ask Vojtech about that but he was not inclined to change it. Of course, Neon has light-grey display panels, and it looks better there.
Thanks DarkStar!
Also, I asked Vojtech a while ago if he could add a stereo view waveform to the sampler and he siad that it wasn't planned :(
Hopefully one day he will change his mind for those requests...

A bit more info: by zooming in horizontally, you can see that the left channel is green and the right channel is red (or vice versa). The dark colour occurs when the graphics rendering for both channels overlaps.

For those, who like the very dark color scheme and also want to stick to Meldaproduction default color scheme, I found out how to do this automatically for each plugin. First I created ONLY these color presets in the root folder (the other FModern presets can be in an additional folder):

default_colors.zip

If one will now set FModernDark as the default theme and set the default theme for all plugins by Ctrl+Click on the "Set default" in the style choser, all the melda plugins seem to chose the color preset according to its type in this order with these types (copied from the manual, btw!):
Blue - dynamics
Green - equalization, filtering
Brown - reverb, delay
Grey/blue - modulation
Red - limiting, saturation, distortion
Cyan/yellow - stereo
Purple/pink - time, pitch, unison...
Grey - utilities, tools
... maybe this will help someone. ;) ... first I thought we have to chose the color preset by hand for every plugin, but this technique worked for me, though. :)

to set the color scheme for all plugins, set it for one plugins then copy the StyleSettingsV13.cfg of this plugin into other plugins folder.

windows path : %AppData%\MeldaProduction\PluginName

it is quicker and it doesn't break the default settings.

This won't colorize the plugins according to their type automatically, though .. I guess, hm?

The "Select current style as default" will only set the style for all plugins as the new style, but not the chosen color preset (except with the technique described above in my post).

Homework (my underlining):
"The Style panel Info" wrote:Select current style as default
Select current style as default button stores the current style as the default for all MeldaProduction software. This is used for the other plugins that are currently using the default style; that is, those plugins for which you have NOT selected a specific style. Please note that if you have already selected a specific style for a particular plugin, then it won't be changed until you use the Default style button.

Default style
Default style button reverts to the default style and default size of the GUI. Hold the Ctrl key while clicking to revert all MeldaProduction software products, not just the current plugin.

I don't understand it. It also saved my colours...(without doing anything extra)

It might depend on the graphics, resolution, screen. I don't see anything such as the screenshot above. There might be a tad of noise although I have to squint to try to see it. Taking a jpg screenshot will augment those, although none are jumping to the eyes in regular use. Actually the slight noise might make it warmer, as with sound.

As one who asked the question, I took the opportunity and from a FModern Light basis, I take less than a minute when opening a 'new' Melda plugin, to quickly set a different background. Like that every Melda plugin is a tad different and that's nice.
