It seems that complaining here does have an effect!pdxindy wrote: Thu Nov 09, 2023 6:55 pmYes, the latency of EQ+ is now compensated.questionaire wrote: Thu Nov 09, 2023 11:54 amDoes your comment mean that the latency everybody is talking about seems to adressed by Bitwig and that it is solved? I never paid attention to the latency myself
I can see some latency being compensated 0.4 msec in the mixer

My guess is that being perfectionists, usually, they knew deep down that it was not right ... and they tried to ignore it or make excuses for it, but it ate away at their souls until they simply had no choice but to address it properly

They added some latency reporting, however it still does not null with a phase-inverted copy and no filters:

The EQ's oversampling still involves filters, so it's not "no filters", just "no user-created EQ nodes".valankar wrote: Thu Nov 23, 2023 8:10 am They added some latency reporting, however it still does not null with a phase-inverted copy and no filters:
I agree with this commenter on Reddit:
Needing an empty EQ to perfectly phase cancel is not a real world problem that any music producers would ever have.

Yes, so long as no obvious phasing if used in parallel and it's all good imo.Dionysos wrote: Thu Nov 23, 2023 9:21 amThe EQ's oversampling still involves filters, so it's not "no filters", just "no user-created EQ nodes".valankar wrote: Thu Nov 23, 2023 8:10 am They added some latency reporting, however it still does not null with a phase-inverted copy and no filters:

Can this oversampling be disabled for EQ+ and for everything else? If the answer is no, then does Bitwig still oversample projects that are at higher sample-rates like 96kHz or 192kHz?
