FWIW, when I was into buying synths, I relied on these lists in case I might have missed something. Now that I've stopped buying synths I really don't care anymore but I can certainly see people wanting to know what's popular if not necessarily what is best because best is so subjective.

They're both classics, no doubt, but for my tastes the Waveviagrakator can do just as much, for longer.

The list is useful to see which of my most beloved synths had already passed their first birthday… (most of them…) And there is also a lot of fish in that list…
