I've been messing about with a combo of Morphit -> Lifeline Expanse Re-Amp Module -> Airwindows Monitoring Cans A/B/C/D -> Purest Gain inside a Bitwig container. Liking the result so far!

The Cans in Airwindows monitoring do varying degrees of cross-feed.

EDIT... Also just added SlickEQ M in so when the volume is turned down equal loud filter goes up to compensate the bass and treble.

Just to say that investing in better headphones might allow you to not have to rely on correction software anymore.
Thanks, thats very welcome input.

in my case, i use dedicated HP pres, and have good cans.
I still think it makes lotsa sense to take care -on a software level- for some things.

personally, i think, its not just alone about perfection.
its also about diversity.
and in that sense about "adjustability".

everybody who uses several Cans in parallel might know what i mean.
i would not want to only have a as good as possible "linear listening experience".
I think the whole thematic is bigger than just that.
and listening "fun" plays a role too. ;)

One very interesting surprise! I took advantage of the current IK build your own T-Racks bundle, The Farm Stone Room tweaked a little makes for a very nice headphone experience, light on CPU. All I really did was set everything to 0, bring up the Dry level and add a little of the Stereo wet, it sounds brilliant and very roomy, like midfields, doesn't overload or mess with the bass etc.

At the current pricing it feels naughty owning it....

I have Sonarworks Headphones and Speaker and Realphones. Well sound on them with just frquency correction is different in the start and you already ruled out Sonarworks. I think you will be happy with Realphones. You can found them on discount nt for 50-60 bucks.

Can I chain morphit and realphones?
Realphones doesn't have an EQ setting for my headphones.

I would assume you would be able to have morphit before realphones and then not use the headphone correction part of realphones.

I do not have morphit to check but is it possible for you to demo both and try?

Finally bought morphit and I like it. It is light weight and the emulation is really good. I am generally mixing both in my focal Elegia and sony 1000xm5. Mostly on Elegia but back testing on Sony. With morphit I can emulate the Sony very well.
Finally morphit integrate well with realphones. I didn't had any issue.

Cool, glad it worked for you. What are your initial thoughts having tried them.

Have you noticed anything in your songs mix wise from using them (I know personally I was surprised and could instantly see issues with my mixes especially in the low frequencies)

Hello, Morphit is an instant win for me. My Elegia has a very clear lack of bass and as my other headphone is the Sony 10000xm5, I am navigating between under bass and over bass. So using morphit is perfect for me because the Elegia profile clearly correct the low end, and when I simulate the 1000xm5, I can clearly anticipate how it will behave without actually having to change headphones. It is really convenient and as you said, very good for low frequencies.

For realphones, I have yet to fully use it. I tried different profiles, and it does help to see how it will behave but so far I didn't see "actionable" information given by realphones. I mean I hear the different simulations but I don't know what to do with it...
I guess if a bass is totally inaudible in the cheap speaker profile, maybe I would try to correct that, but so far I have not heard big issues...
Do you have example of decisions you took thanks to a room simulation ?

Thanks.

Funnily enough my headphones are the same. Without correction one pair adds too much bass and the other not enough.

I think I am seeing improvements due to both the correction and the room. Specifically about the room elements though I find the club examples are good for finding out if you have too much bass or if the bass is tight. The smaller speaker versions also help me listen and compare mids and top end well across various listening environments. I also find the room simulations help me with panning and when applying reverb etc (I seem to be able to notice if I have added too much since using realphones)

Its worth messing with the ambience and I have a few snapshots I use to listen to my songs and reference tracks through for comparison.
