Crust punk is a bit of a niche genre, but a bit of classic Dexys is brilliant

I forgot: Stayin' Alive and every other disco song the Bee Gees cranked out. They were fine before 'Jive Talkin' or 'Nights on Broadway.' I like their early stuff, but disco and I did not mix well. At all.

I like songs that make you an "anti-anti-fan" (so you hate it first, then you like it, then you take some anti-acid).

what song of justin bieber's made me an antifan?
well' i've never heard a full song of his
i've heard parts of maybe one of two songs of his
they didn't grab me
they didn't stick
on the other hand, that "hey macarena" song did grab me and it sticks
but i don't know why that song didn't make me a fan

I can't recommend Esja, Hania Rani's debut album, enough. It's like big room house / trance if done by Philip Glass fan.
However, her subsequent albums have increased towards vocal pop, which, while, very nice, is just not a patch on that first album. Having said that, Buka from her second is a bit of a stormer

There was this woman on The Late Show, she has a great voice mind you, but she started her set by meditating and ringing some bowls. She talked a bunch of metaphysical hoohaw, then said on to the performance (which she apparently changed clothes for.) Like I said, she's got a great voice, but she talked between the lyrics of her song. There was no audience where she was at. I didn't like it at all. It came off as schtick. Her name is UMI. That reminds me of the Eliane Radigue tracks with monks going on and f**king on. If I didn't think that her taste and restraint were otherwise amazing, those tracks would be enough to make me an anti-fan.osiris wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 10:12 pm There was this woman on The Late Show, she has a great voice mind you, but she started her set by meditating and ringing some bowls.
