I have done a lot of work for Disney which you can buy in the mall and which plays on TV and (tadaaaaa!) for which I was PAID and that makes it "Pro" work:
In which format did I receive demos - vocals (by Pooh or Piglet!) and roughmixes? MP3 via email. In what format did I have to send materials for approval? MP3 via email.
So what if it f**ks up your sound - if it comes into your inbox from your f**king employer you should be able to drop into your DAW!!

ahh, unfortunately, dbpoweramp's mp3 features are no longer free after 14 days.
That is, if you are using the new version. It is very cheap, though.
..what goes around comes around..

Don't be surprised - a lot of supervisors and director types are totally ignorant when it comes to "tech" stuff or audio...

Folks mp3 is a standard for sending shit around end of story.
You don't and up using it - its just for guides, mockups and reference.
I think Word is a retarded prog but I still need whatever I'm going to use to be able to read those files or I am out in the cold.

I second, third and fourth that.koolkeys wrote:The thing is that T is not bloatware. So what if Cubase has a million features. Most people will never use half of them.
Tracktion can already do much more than I need. I'm a moderately experienced home recorder, I record my singing, electric and acoustic guitars, some synths, and the occasional tambourine here and there. I do all this with a 50 Euro Mic, a 50 Euro Mixer and an Oxygen 8. Right now, I don't even have a dedicated audio interface. I can't see myself needing 70% of Cubase's features in the next 20 years. If you're a producer, you might not be happy with T2, but for me with my shoestring budget, its the best thing since sliced bread. I can make recordings that sound really good without having to read a manual. What more could I want?

I just need one or two features to make T all I need. It's just those damn few that bug the hell out of me :grrrr:
