I'm still willing to host, but I'm not really up for being the bandleader/moderator/techno weenie that solves all the network problems for hooking up a dozen laptops. I have the board and the room, but no time this week to be den mother. Anyone want to handle the logistics, PM me and we'll get some directions emailed to interested parties.
I should also mention I have some of the popular playback problems that are the brunt of the upcoming patch to be made available, so someone else may want to volunteer to make their system a network hub.

We could always revert to Rock's suggestion and just meet casually for lunch.
Perhaps somewhere in between...maybe a meeting at your place, no network, byo machine or better yet, archived tracktion project example on cdr?
As for a good machine/set up, perhaps Rock would be willing??? I can't remember him reporting any problems recently. I'm willing to bring my mini but as many have said, it's not exactly the best benchmark machine. I can imagine hitting a wall hosting other people's projects since it' obvious that everyone works differently. Maybe some folks run Final Mix on every track!?
If it goes well, we could talk about doing it again and trying the network thing next time around. I just hope it happens. It could be fun.
