This is particularly useful when using detuned patches because, without it, the fundamental may be reinforced when you first play a note, attenuated (resulting in a thinner sound), or even cancelled (resulting in a sound that initially seems to lie an octave higher than wanted). Forcing the phase to align at the start of each note eliminates this.
Just wondering if anybody has any thoughts on this feature. Especially interested to hear the views of fellow Minitaur owners.

While non of the components we modeled has this, we're tempted...

Splendid news, I think it would make a rather wonderful addition to the trimmers page... :)

On another note, I've found what I think might be an issue with regard to PDC within Ableton Live (8.3 OS X). On the last production I worked on that used Diva extensively I found that I was having to manually add a 3-5ms delay to every instance of Diva to get it into groove with the other elements. I understand this might be host related but I thought it worth reporting.

Did you install the update into the same folder as the previous installation?

I've got what appears in my mind to be a very small feature request! :)

The Moog Minitaur has a killer feature - Note Sync
Yes, please implement this!

Also are we definitely getting Oberheim filters? (please answer in the affirmative) If so any ETA at all?

If DIVA gets these features and an arp & sequencer at some point I think it's really going to have a huge sound potential, even more than it already has.

i don't have a minitaur but +1
anything to reset the oscs on note on is welcome.

SWEET SWEET SWEET!

This is a really great feature. It really works and allows for sounds that would otherwise cripple a mix.

how is the noise generated in Diva? is it accurately modelled and generated in realtime or a shortcut was taken here?
is it a wavetable/sample?
cos when i modulate and tear it up through modulation it feels brittle like i was dealing with some sort of sample.
diva is stellar and like analog in every respect but the noise "waveforms" make me raise an eyebrow. it just doesn't feel that rich.

i remember also andy cytomic some time ago saying generating good real analog noise was very very complex

Noise is generated, not a sample or anything. Should be plain white noise :)

one thing i'd really love in the modifications panel is being able to adjust the FM range.
specifically i'd love to modify the moogs 3vco FM to have the same range as the jupiter 2 vco one (which is double the range i believe). which makes it more useful for a broader spectre of sounds.
i feel forced to go to the jupiter module just to have proper FM....which messes up all my midi controller setup which is based on the moogs 3vco...and the 3vco is the environment i'm confortable with . oh well....i guess it wouldn't be the same thing anyway cos the jupiter module also has white noise to FM with (and borrowing an idea from the improvements thread maybe adding noise to the list of lfo waveforms could be a cool alternative?).
btw if i don't recollect wrong in the first version of diva with the patchbay u could just cable the white noise output into any of the vcos ins?....but it's too long ago now, not remember well. in any case sad that the patchbay idea was scrapped . could have been sweet.

With Diva 1.1 it's finally working good enough with my computer that I decided to buy, unlike V1.0 which would stutter after 3 voices.

Generally 8 voices is working fine now in Divine mode. When using HPF Bite together with everything else then maybe 6 voices (or increase the buffer size from 128 to e.g. 256). Of course with many instances, Divine mode is impossible, but the important thing is that I can do sound design and just play with the synth at the highest quality and full polyphony (6 voices like a JX/Juno or ideally 8 voices like the Jupiter 8 - I think 12 or 16 voices is totally overkill with this fat sound). Once I've recorded a track, I can either freeze it or just lower the quality until it's time to render - inside a mix, Diva sounds excellent even in Draft mode.

My CPU is an AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.6 GHz. AMD cores are slower than Intel cores, but there are four cores available, so the multi-threaded option was a very welcome addition.

There's no "Dual DCO" yet though, so my JX-8P will have to stay (for now) 8)
