While this is technically meant to be for FL Studio users only, you can also use the software-less Fire with Ableton through the control script from Isotonik Studios:

Looking at the videos at Isotonik Studios this actually seems to be a very capable Ableton controller.

$100 incl. shipping to the US instead of regular $199
100€ incl. shipping & taxes to EU & UK instead of regular around 190€

----> click 'Buy', it will take you to a website that belongs to 'inMusic, Inc.' (the company that owns Akai). I too think it's weird that they don't sell this directly at Image Line or Akai, but it is legit (confirmed by the admin at the Image Line forums).
Note: This offer is exclusively for existing users of any edition of FL Studio only. No software is included with this offer. You have at least one month to make up your mind. After that the promo can be extended.

I purchased one yesterday, no proof of owning FL Studio is required.quietzone wrote: Mon Jul 29, 2019 4:25 pm Interesting to know that work is being done to make this usable in other DAWs! Still not sure personally if I'll get this, but it being tied to FL Studio was one of my concerns.
Not sure if you need to prove you own FL Studio to buy this. Will update the other thread in a few days with that info if when I end up getting it.

Honestly, the only Waves product where WUP is actually useful is the Mercury bundle. Waves usually (not always though) adds new plugins to that bundle. If you have WUP you get them for free.

You kinda need WUP only if it breaks, which is... almost never. But, if you have some singles, probably is cheaper to upgrade to the next level bundle (and get 1 year WUP) than just WUP your plugins.

That works even with Mercury. You can upgrade from Mercury to "Mercury + Studio Classics". While it's currently $253.89 to do the upgrade, when they have one of their 50% off promotions (which don't usually apply to WUP), it's like getting a one year WUP (plus Studio Classics) for $126.95. I haven't done it yet myself, so I am not sure if you can only do it once, or you can keep taking advantage of it over time. (In other words, I am not sure that upgrading Mercury if it becomes a single entry which is "Mercury + Studio Classics", or are they two separate entries in your account).waltercruz wrote: Mon Jul 29, 2019 5:05 pm You kinda need WUP only if it breaks, which is... almost never. it resets the WUP for the products included in the bundle! Go to the upgrades page in waves site to see if your singles can be upgraded to some bundle, and wait for some waves promo.quietzone wrote: Mon Jul 29, 2019 6:11 pm Thanks for the insights! I think I'm making more out of WUP than it really is![]()
Does buying Gold reset the WUP for all single plugins in you account? I thought if you WUP a bundle, you don't WUP single plugins in your account, but only the bundle. I'm asking because of this:
