Kazrog increase the price of their plugin by $10, then immediately have a $15 off sale.

Following the tone boosters model I see! thanks for letting us know about the price increase. Sales practices like this are instant turn offs for me and I won’t be buying!

This is unfair to Toneboosters who had raised prices well before their sale (and their plugins were notoriously underpriced gems to start with)

No it’s not. Though I do agree they make great products for the price, they did the exact same thing where they raised prices and did their first ever “sale” shortly after which brought them back to the about same price before they raised it. You can search this thread and see for yourself. I understand raising prices, but to then have a sale so soon after in he hopes of tricking customers who didn’t realize the normal price was raised I do not agree with or support.

Toneboosters raised prices when they released the AAX versions of their plugins which was months before their sale.

You could put the "price drop" page on auto refresh. Puts your GAS into overdrive.

I think there was a text field that said "coupon code" (or maybe "voucher code")....

Looking at it again, the "coupon code" field doesn't seem to be there anymore. It was just for "The first 10" so they probably removed it... odd that the whole text field's gone though, guess they aren't doing any other coupon codes.

It was a barely noticable "have a coupon?" text in the checkout process.
Anyhow, the developer posted this on Twitter 15 minutes ago:
