"Lazy-cheeky" answer for those asking "how did you make..." on soundcloud :P
You will be able to analyze fx's chains, fx and VSTi settings as well.
Don't be scared about some extreme settings ( mainly for compressors)- breaking the rules for audio production is my hobby now ;] enjoy!

I want to repeat what just said on the voting thread.

Inspiring, at times thrilling. Really.

Thank you so much everyone.

It was hard to vote and like others I had trouble not giving more 4s and 5s.

Well Irion, thank you very much for taking the time to listen and give such well considered mini reviews. In the quest for self improvement this is an invaluable contribution.
I will take all your comments, and those of others who have been good enough to take the time, on board, and hope to do better. Watch this space.... :)

And by the way everyone, having got past the voting stage I am now listening to these tracks just for the pleasure. :wheee: Great work all!

Tried Renoise not so long ago. It took me 15 minutes to figure how to make a 4 by 4 beat (without reading the manual). Decided it wasn't for me. But Cactoos does some amazing things with it.

I first started using Impulse Tracker a long time ago. That took a lot of work and had a steep learning curve. Once you got over the hump, though, it was pretty quick to make something that sounded good. I'm sure Renoise is a lot better as it supports VSTIs.

I like to think of trackers as more programming your tracks than visualizing them, which is what most popular DAWs give you. Once you're good with a tracker, though, it is very easy (and necessary) to put exacting changes in place (this is a PITA with the mouse sometimes).

And, yes, Cactoos makes some amazing stuff IMO -- I'm a huge fanboy! :)

Solidtrax, who won the the third place in the last One-Synth-Challenge CM special with their track "Parabola", uploaded their Curve 2 presets to the online library. So everyone who owns Curve 2 or Curve 2 CM can get them easily.

There is quite a difference between the plain presets and the result you hear in the song. According to them, multiple layers did the job. You can find their comments and production tips on the Cableguys homepage:

Guys! Which CM issue is about being creatively with sample and work with a sampler, especially Ableton live sampler?
