If you get on a bike and pedal fast for a few days you will get time dilation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_dilation so DIVA will get here sooner from your perspective. Anyway happy new year everyone \o/

Was just thinking how awesome it would be for Diva to have ARP Odyssey OSCs and filter. It already has the duophonic mode!
Just had to write that somewhere.

Might be a problem with our Content Delivery Network. Maybe try our direct link:mcnoone wrote:I get this message when trying to download the latest version of Diva from the U-he site.C:\Users\-name here-\AppData\Local\Temp\g0pOupMr.zip.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

actually the best filter ARP ever used (on the early 2600 and Odyssey) is pretty much identical to the Moog ladder already supplied on Diva. i've had fun combining it with the the ring setting on the MS20 oscillator and something like S&H at the duophonic setting to emulate the Odyssey, though it would be nice to get some PWM going on this arrangement.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Was just thinking how awesome it would be for Diva to have ARP Odyssey OSCs and filter. I found something very weird.
If you go to my mcnoone presets in the 3rd party sets.
Click on MC Leeches Pad.
It doesn't sound like the original.
It's all dissonant tones.
Even after switching the VCO1 settings.
Nothing seems to correct it.
It's as if the lfo2 is modulating the tune, except it isn't set to that.
It's the same in the vst using Live, and the au in Logic.
It used to be a very standard in tune non-dissonant sound.
Any ideas?
edit: It gets even worse once I use the modwheel once up and back down.
Then it's total tune drift...very strange.

Yeah good point. The Moog filter is really all you need for the filter portion. The MS-20 with ring mod gets you close but as you say, the extra stuff like PMw would be nice. Funny thing is, there's already PWM in the synth, but not at the same time as the ring mod. Allow these two things at the same time and you're pretty much there.buescher wrote:actually the best filter ARP ever used (on the early 2600 and Odyssey) is pretty much identical to the Moog ladder already supplied on Diva. i've had fun combining it with the the ring setting on the MS20 oscillator and something like S&H at the duophonic setting to emulate the Odyssey, though it would be nice to get some PWM going on this arrangement.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Was just thinking how awesome it would be for Diva to have ARP Odyssey OSCs and filter. Maybe you have some accidental midi learn? The preset sounds fine to me...

Thanks for reminding me of that. I totally forgot that.pdxindy wrote:mcnoone wrote:I found something very weird.

I'll check now.
EDIT:
I unlearned every source I could think of, but it still sounds all wrong and dissonant, going in and out of tune.
I did notice that even with my modwheel in the down/off position. Turning the VCO1 modulation where "modwheel" is the source. It has a realtime change in pitch. If the modwheel is off, then why is it giving me a change in pitch when manually moving the modwheel assigned knob on the UI?
Is there a way to globally "unlearn midi" ?

Trying midi unlearn on as many parameters as I could, didn't work.pdxindy wrote:Maybe you have some accidental midi learn? The preset sounds fine to me...
Here's what it sounds like on my setup...in Logic or Live.

edit: I just found another one of my own presets in Zebra that's doing the same thing.
I haven't noticed anything like this in any of the other synths I've been using lately.
Maybe my soundcard is going bad or something.
I reset my controller, but that didn't fix it.

There is the midiassign.txt file and you can see all assignments and delete them all...mcnoone wrote:Thanks for reminding me of that. I totally forgot that.pdxindy wrote:mcnoone wrote:I found something very weird.
