Great !

Though the VA still seems to have some "wrong" Automation IDs,
for example the EQ, Filter, Chorus and Delay On/off switches.

Dont really get this, is there an update for existing zebra2 for RTAS mac? and VST PC that improves something?

Or is it yet to come, and if so how do i install it over my current version?

I downloaded the Mac Component version and tried to replace my current one in the folder but this gave me an error.......

No worries, it is yet to come

The .component file is an Audio Unit only. The major news is the 64-bit Cocoa UI which had to be written from scratch in large parts. As RTAS is not yet 64-bit, there's no change in the RTAS layer itself, hence not much to beta test.

We will however post a new RTAS-build soon, in order to do a sanity check before final release of these updates. The RTAS versions themselves will of course benefit from several bug fixes. If all goes well we'll even use the newest RTAS 9.0 SDK, albeit upgrading seems more hassle than benefit on our side. And of course, we don't want to risk problems with older versions of Pro Tools.

Some time in the next months we'll go deeper into RTAS and see what else we can improve on top of the SDK and Win support. There have been a few issues reported, but non of which we could reproduce on our machines - apart from general bugs, that is.

Hmmm... might simply be too big for you. It's an all-in-one. Is there a critical filesize for dowloads in cn?

We'll have individual packets in a few days.

Don't know if this has been reported yet ... and it might be due to an out of date version of the Zebra beta, although I'm pretty sure it's the correct one (difficult to tell from the OP which files to download). File detais:

Created: Wednesday, 22 June 2011 5:13 PM, v2.5.1

Playing with the new BigTone bank (very nice!!). Load the first preset:

BT chord melo (mw+pb+at).h2p

Play some notes. While the notes are ringing out, select the next preset:

BT digital syncopes (mw+pb+at).h2p

A nasty sound (like a rumble or explosion) is heard briefly, as the preset loads. After that, the sound is OK.

Running on OS 10.6.7, Logic 9.1.4 x32. Is that a known issue? I've tried resetting the plugin cache, hasn't helped.

hi I emailed urs about it...... he said it should be fixed in the next week;s release. he was already aware of it... and pointed me to another thread...basically I think it the delays and reverbs not stopping.

I think this is the thread... longstanding problem in Zebra, it would be great if it can be fixed with an update soon.

Yeah... in the hustle and bustle of this week I'll try to implement a reverb/delay kill switch on preset change. That should fix it...

(hopefully without new side effects)
