thank you! I used the A voucher.asprog wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2020 3:03 pm More Plugin Alliance $29.99 vouchers:

I've only been able to use one A and one B it seems. I opened a second account (I have a lot of email addresses for different things) I'm not sure how people are getting more than the 2 per account.
Edit - that is strange because it looks like multiple people used the A code.

My A code seems to be working again, too. But I don't plan to use it.Sciurus wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2020 5:06 pm Yes, I had already used two different A codes, but now I was able to use one of them once more.
Since I have already used it, can I give it away? Hope PA won't be mad and retrieve my license.

Why the "f#&$" don't they just put $29 on every plugin and people will buy whatever they want... What a stupid waste of time with the voucher $#it... Because then they don't end up with dozens of posts on different forums about it as much as we wish it wasn't necessary.escalona wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2020 6:06 pmWhy the "f#&$" don't they just put $29 on every plugin and people will buy whatever they want... Well, Waves has made the $29 thing work, maybe PA should try it without the vouchers. Every month just have a few different ones for $29. They would probably get a reasonably good cash flow that way without losing a lot of money like they did with the $4 ones. I'm sure $4 barely covered the cost of the credit card fees.

Is that a joke? It’s hard to tell.
Regarding the PSP 608md.
It’s a very, very long in the tooth plugin but it’s one of my all time favourite plugins. I hope they update the UI soon because it looks like crap on modern systems.
I have been looking for alternatives but never really found anything satisfying. The new multi tap delay in Cubase looks good, but I don’t use Cubase. Waves Supertap was the original of this type, I believe, but I don’t use Waves. The only modern plugin I could find was a BlueCat one (can’t remember the name) but it just seemed like a little too much work.
Hopefully it receives an upgrade in the near future as I think there is a decent gap still in the area.

Well this is the point I've been trying to make for a couple of years now. I'm old and I remember when Waves was the top line premium plug in company. They were also the biggest target of piracy since everyone had a Mercury bundle that they didnt know how to use. I've been surprised to see the anger at Waves for cutting their prices , which is what users asked for and seems to work for them. Its not just the WUP plan since thats not even needed. PA was the darling plugin maker of this group until they started the sub plan. Immediately the bloom was off the rose. If they go the consistent discount route, many users will get what they want but some will attack for reasons I just dont get. Anyway here are my codesdzilizzi wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2020 6:53 pm Well, Waves has made the $29 thing work, maybe PA should try it without the vouchers. +Gamma-UT wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2020 10:54 amIt's got a lot of taps with things like filters on the feedback loop and it's a bit fiddly to program. Since it was first launched, a whole bunch of multitap delays have appeared, many of which are easier to deal with, particularly if you want the sequenced delays you get out of something like Tekturon. Also, with a bit of time you can slap something reasonably similar together out of racks in Bitwig or Ableton. What you do get with 608MD is pretty precise control out of each tap. Which is great...if you like programming intricate delays.Nspace wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2020 9:01 amThe sale is ON today.
Just read the SOS review from may 2006... the question is what remains to be unique about this delay?
It has a lot of features, so what could be accomplished that would be difficult/impossible with the rest? Particularly since it has been available rather long time.
This is one of those situations where you're better off demoing to see if you get along with it. It does have a decent sound as I think it's based on the core of the delay algos in the PSP42/85. But you may well find it's easier to deal with something else.

What you describe about good usability and precise control out of each tap (if you like programming intricate delays), plus a potential upgrade soon, seem to be the main attractive points for PSPAudio 608MD V2.
Uhmm at $20 even in these hard times...
We'll see.
