URs, do you think you can make the ocs a little bit more brighter by having a higher overtones volume on the high end? If you play a simple saw on C5 you can see that the overtones are fading pretty quick on the end. I know you can use the brightness FX but that increases the overtones at about 8khz, and not on the 15-20khz range.

Please wait one moment before release!

I have a problem I reported a while ago about a preset that syncs properly with host only at second note... stay tuned...

Ok, I'm in :)

this preset: http://www.errepici.it/public/Acidophilus.zip

(should be like the HS Acidophilus+ default preset) has the following problem in SONAR 7.0.2 and 8.0.1.

Put several G#4 notes having four beats length each at a speed of about 130 BPM. I have them starting from around measure 12 in my project.

Then start playing the project from the start of the notes. The first note played is always out of sync and often some kind of white noise is produced (depends on how much the transport stay stopped before playing the project I think). The second or third note is back in sync.

I have changed system since I first reported this problem against a 2.2.1 Zebra2 beta, but it's still there. This is annoying in that every time I start playing the project in the middle I have to wait one measure for Zebra to play in sync the sound.

Please give it a check Urs (I have to say this problem happens only on two or the three PCs I'm testing)!

hmmm. I can't seem to load Zebra VST in NI Kore now... Under u-he, there is only Zebralette and ZRev. No Zebra.

anybody else getting this?

I think you have to trash your old Zebra2.ksd file or something... ew is good at this, maybe he knows...

This was discussed to death in another thread. I won't touch the code anytime soon, sorry...

I'll try to workaround this in future beta versions. It might be one of those issues that take months to solve, no matter how many hours one stares at the code. Changing things in the Arpeggiator is extremly painful, hence I havn't worked this.

Post

So can you confirm you can reproduce the issue? It would be something great anyway :)

I don't think I could, but then I think I tried in another host only. My brain is currently a bit overloaded.

Yeah trash the zebra 2 ksd in KORE's VST chache (in Windows Documents and settings) to force a rescan

Worked. thanks! (Although for mac it's user/library/application support etc. database cache)

I hope I'm not going to have to do too much to make my KORE template for Zebra 2 compatible with the new version. What are the main new modules/functions added?

It's mostly the 3 Sideband filters and the 2 ModMappers.

If there's a problem with the additional parameters bein "squeezed" inbetween, there's a chance that I can spend next weekend on one of those yet undocumented features, namely the customizable parameter list (which would allow you to drop the new parameters to the end of the list).

Urs,
thanks for including the new PDF. Much clearer.

Some feedback: I have some graphic distortions on WinXp when using the "large" resolution - but not the normal or cinematic views.

Try opening the gui in "large" mode with the Unempty skin and moving it so that the gui moves partly off the screen and then back on again. Do you get additional white lines?

I love the bigger gui resolutions btw. It's sooo much nicer to work with.

Maybe could use a size between normal and large versions though? But that would be just for my laptop. The large is perfect for the desktop

Cheers,
bagginz

btw, has the hovering the mouse over the knobs and using the mouse wheel always adjusted parameters, or is a new addition? I recently got a new mouse so it may be that...

Actually I was going to ask about this. I first tried your template with the 2.3 beta, and I noticed that most of the kore knobs didn't control the right parameters in zebra. They'd control something other than what was named. I suppose the reason is because of the new modules. I might make my own anyways though.

Speaking of Kore, I recently saw that someone on-line figured out how to alter the default parameter orders and names of the plug-in parameters as opposed to user parameters, and provided altered absynth and massive files. Though I'm not sure how to use ".ndp" files. Anyways, I's like to see about doing this for Zebra, since there are so many parameters, and it would leave the user section open for patch specific control. I can't remember where I saw it, maybe the NI Kore forum or something. I'll see...
