I'm still waiting for someone with thousands invested in analogues to say "Not even close to analog enough"

Sorry for the pointless noodle though... no compressor, no eq used, not even a highpass filter. But a little reverb for spatial presence.

Indeed. But Clem is still working on some little niggles... e.g. filter volume isn't fully harmonised, Slop parameters (per voice differences) are not yet fully tested...hakey wrote:Some filter fm, slow sweeps, and fast hi res blips for the different filter models would be interesting...

MS-20 OSCs + Minimoog filter + Jupiter-6 envs = Don't really know how a real Juno sounds, but this some how reminds me of it.Urs wrote:Ok. Can't hold back anymore. I remember back in the day . . .
Had a Korg (a little wet), saved for a Roland and OB (LUSH), and wanted an EMU as a sampler over my S-550. Reason? WETNESS.
That reso wet filters sound! I don't know the technical reasons . . . LFO, VCO, ADS, etc. , but I do know that that sonic nuance is one of the reasons why Sylenth1 became so popular. The first preset on their demo is that wet filters 303ish thingy. IMO, this is where the previous 303 emulations usually fell short (i won't name names, but all of them!). My point . . . to truly appeal to the analog enthusiasts a VSTI needs to have both wetness and warmth/fatness.
If Diva has the WETness and WARMth . . . it will be a star that can stand proudly on the stage with Cher and the rest of the #%^&*'s.

Speaking of the 303, I would lloovvee to to see the 303 become a part of Diva or a future u-he emulation synth. The 303 isn't take seriously in the same way the Mini is, but darnit it's awesome and a really big part of synth history.
I am seriously thinking about getting a hardware xoxbox, actually.

Doesn't sound nearly digital enough Urs! I'm afraid it won't satisfy the 8-bit crowd

i sometimes drool over the xoxbox, but i then look to my right and find that i already have an FR-777.. the only hardware 303 i would buy at this point would be a real TB..
i would love to see the 303 modeled again with better algorithms, etc.. Audiorealism Bassline is great, but indeed has a character not exactly like the hardware.. Phoscyon, again, close to the original, but clearly different once you start making tracks with it.. then Rebirth is cool, but far from the original in many ways..
all i am saying is YES - i would buy a u-he 303..

Sounds amazing. I'm buying during the introductory/public demo period.Urs wrote:Ok. Can't hold back anymore. Hey, the 303 has that revolving filters sound, but actually there have been better wet filters along the way. My point is . . . Please oh please give us fat and lush and wetness when needed.
. As far as the 303 emulations . . . I've heard the two biggies and others. They are fun, but not nearly wet enough for my taste. I want to play a sound and say, "Excuse me . . . pardon me," and then change my underwear!

I have no idea if it's gonna be anything like a 303. It's going to be wet though.
(Nov 16 was just an example... we have retune filters next week... might be difficult to meet)
