Are you just after a video editor? Have you tried DaVinci Resolve?

The free version only uses one CPU of a multi-core setup as far as I know, unless they have changed that recently.

I picked it up from MF, and it's the same!! After registering, I redeemed the included Melodyne Essential license and it was upgraded to version 5!

I get the same message. These 2 stores often do these US only deal for some reason. I wonder if you could use a proxy server to hide the fact you're outside the US? It's a donwload anyway so you could use a fake address i guess. Just a thought...

Humble Bundles are totally legit.

I believe Humble Bundle has offered Vegas Pro Edit, which is one of the limited versions of the full Vegas Pro. Still pretty darn good though.

Vegas Pro Edit is the full program without any bundled 3rd party plugins etc.
It is not limited in functionality in any way.

I didn't know that. I have v14 version here i got in a humble bundle deal. Hope it's not too old.

I just bought a copy of the Nectar 3 for $29 from MF. I already have everything iZotope anyway, so if you're interested and you couldn't get yours (live in a different country, didn't see this on time...), I will be listing it in the Buy&Sell forum as soon as I get a ready-to-register serial (I haven't got any serial yet, and somehow this looks kind of like that Softube error they made last year so I may just get a refund after two weeks... it's guitarcenter/mf anyway).
I will not be making money out of this, I will sell it for as much as I paid ($29) and if you need Melodyne you can also get it or if you don't please let me know and I'll pass it along to someone who may need it (preferably a student or someone who can't afford to buy one).

I see a cool sale on Best Service The Orchestra, but I also see there's a The Orchestra Complete version.

Is the non-complete version an excellent product in its own right, or would one want the complete upgrade to feel they have a full package?

Looks to me like The Orchestra is the bread and butter part of the complete package. So I'd say yes. But you're probably better wait for someone who actually used these products to confirm that.

What kept me from even considering either one was the fact that only the Complete has this:

The Orchestra Complete also features the new MIDI-Export feature which allows you to drag and drop all five internal sequence tracks directly into your DAW as MIDI files.

So no MIDI Export in The Orchestra, you have to upgrade to Complete. Seems like a feature that shouldn't need an expensive upgrade.

I would contact them to make sure this is the case. You can always use midi out in kontakt and record it in your daw. It's slower but you should be able to get the same result. Again. probably best to have someone who owns it to confirm this.

edited: Also, you can always upgrade to the complete bundle later. Look for the upgrade price for comparison...

Complete also comes with the Strings of Winter, which has gotten good feedback. The orchestra itself is okay. It is a decent starter library. The engine, however, is amazing. Very fun to play with. Not sure how good the midi out is using Kontakt. I'm not sure it produces a midi, or whether they are phrases. In which case the midi is based on the sheet music.

You can always buy TO, and update when it goes on sale?
