Zebra Legacy will be available from our web store on November 15th, replacing all the individual products. Zebra2 owners can use Zebra Legacy and all its content free of charge with their existing license, and will be eligible for a 30€ upgrade to Zebra3 once it comes out. Those who already own a license for The Dark Zebra will be automatically upgraded to Zebra3 free of charge.

Well, to be fair the process is kind of convoluted. I get that he made it as simple as possible considering the nature of it (remaining a separate synth with its own libraries), but it’s still more complicated than most synth upgrades. Most times when a synth is updated, you pay a fee (or not) and everything just works together. Having them remain separate is not the standard practice.

There is something I can't find in that thread, and I read it more than once. But if you can enlighten me, feel free to hint me to that post I must clearly have overlooked.

Thing is... now that the cat is out of the bag still offering TDZ for 99EUR sounds like a rip off during the next 2 weeks. Buying it at that price does not make any sense to me, offering it for that price doesn't either. It's only two weeks now, so I would ask no questions if TDZ would either not be sold anymore during that time or would be discounted to 30EUR because what you get for that amount is exactly the same you will get after that given date (if you own Z2). The only explanation would be there is something worth spending 69EUR more right now, otherwise Urs could just reply with "No, there is no single reason buying TDZ now if you own Z2 already. Period."

The process is not convoluted at all, I’ve laid out the process below in less words for those who are lazy (no judgement)

Zebra 2 owners -> gets dark zebra (Zebrahz) including sounds for free on 15th. 30euro upgrade path to zebra 3.

Dark zebra (Zebrahz) owners -> gets zebra 3 for free.

No zebra currently? -> purchase one of the above 2 options or wait for the 15th November where you can get “zebra legacy” - aka zebra 2 & dark zebra for 99euro or whatever the cheaper price will be - but you will have to buy zebra 3 at full price when it arrives

Basically if you don’t care about zebra 3 wait until the 15th for zebra legacy

If you care about zebra 3 - buy only zebra 2 before the 15th

If you own zebra 2 or dark zebra currently, there’s nothing to do - congratulations
