The Dark Zebra soundbank for Zebra2/ZebraHZ consists of 400+ sounds that Hans Zimmer and Howard Scarr created for The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises soundtracks.

Hans Zimmer's custom version of Zebra2, called ZebraHZ, is included. This brings Diva's analogue modelled filters and a Resonator module to Zebra2, in addition to a themed GUI.

Note that ZebraHZ requires an existing license for Zebra2 to run.

ZebraHZ 2.8 NEW

Apart from a sleek new look and the new searchable preset browser, ZebraHZ version 2.8 has more synthesis "grunt" than the previous version: First, we doubled the number of modulation matrix slots (now 24) and MSEGs (now 8) so you are unlikely to run out of those in a hurry.

ZebraHZ also inherits the wave folder modules and the plate reverb (NuRev) from the regular Zebra 2.8. With two fundamentally different reverb units you can not only set up more insteresting spaces, but dedicate one of them to e.g. emulating the body of an acoustic guitar.

Finally, the most recent special request from Hans: the 8 X/Y sources now appear in the list of modulators so you can use them as direct performance controls.

Urs, at the mention "Hans Zimmer's custom version of Zebra2, called ZebraHZ, is included.", could you add the precision "ZebraHZ requires an existing license of Zebra2 to run"? Because since it is not said explicitely... people may wrongly imagine that they can in this way get a kind of Zebra2 just by purchasing The Dark Zebra. Kind regards! BlackWinny.

Good call. It shoud be clear on our website, and we thought the soundware category would imply it. I agree though that reading just the product description could lead to that assumption. So I added an extra bit of description.

I'v been getting a little curious about when we will see the update for HZ that corresponds with the recent update to Z2 "in a few days". ;)

Well there's a beta for ZebraHZ 2.7 available for download in our website's support area. It's working rather well :-)

I did not know that. I'll check it out. I swear you replied in 5 minutes. You rock Urs. Not every company has absolutely NO junk in their product line. You definitely don't. Hope you stay motivated for the good of us all. Diva is making all of my other synths gather dust.

cheers.
