How can Google know that this is a video I really want to watch, as I own a LaunchControl XL???
All the other videos I could watch here at KVR, this one forces me to watch on YT and has more minutes of spam than the duration of the whole video. Not only that, the spam is repeating, it wants me to watch the same shit over and over again… Somebody must fight the Google aggression… Also those advertisers should be boycotted for the rest of their hopefully short existence…
Sorry for the rant… I love Moss… I’d rather be a Patreon…
Hi Tj,
I use FireFox as my internet browser and to watch YouTube videos. Using that and some free downloadable extensions, I've not seen any YT ads in my videos in years. You might want to look into it... it makes a big difference.

It happened on my iPad with Firefox. Maybe on that device I should switch to Safari… Anyway, even the attempt of those advertisers to spam via Google/Youtube is beyond me. It doesn’t make sense… I wonder if we have as content provider some control over it… If one of my videos would be interrupted by an ad, I would sue them for the clear violation of German copyrights… Your are not allowed to modify a work without the consent of the copyright owner… There are enough ways to place ads in a non-aggressive way…
Moss’ work is great…! It opens up new work flows…

Question on Apc 40 MKII:

Do you think it’s possible to have an option when apc’s faders are fully up it match odb on bitwig volume faders instead of +10db ?

Thanks for your time !
Hi, can you tell me where ? I can’t find it.
I see where i can set the default volume of a new track in bitwig but not where i can set the range of the Apc fader
Thank for your help

Don't want to go to deep into this off-topic discussion but just my 2 cent:
That's not different to what private TV is doing since 20 years until the point that you cannot watch it anymore. At least with Youtube you can buy your way out of it with Youtube Premium. From my point of view this is fair since the price is comparable to the Amazons and Netflixes and I watch definively Youtube the most.

But how much do you get from it? I doubt it is even close to be fair. That is why I would prefer something like Patreon. I don’t want to feed the greedy too rich part of the world…
Anyway, the LC addition is great. I can only recommend this controller. I still have a Fostex MixTab in the studio and used the LaunchControl mainly on the road. Now I should actually replace my MixTab. Though I am slightly proud about the script I made for it…

First I am not doing this to earn money. I think it is pretty fair. Meanwhile it pays for the Premium account. To give you a number: last month my little channel had 600 hours of streaming. Do you have any idea how much that would cost to setup this yourself?

I looked into this and Patreon takes a big slice of the money for providing their service (which is minimal in my view compared to Youtube). Furthermore, you are forced to constantly create extra content which I simply don't have time to do.

BTW it is always interesting how many people ask about this but then ignore it (not adressing you). E.g. I activated Youtube "Thanks" for some months now and exactly 1 person used it

wow I dont know what to say. You made the launch control xl relevant!! Do you sleep? Very creative use of the knobs. If you ever had a Yamaha keyboard I would love to see what you would do scripting that thing with all its buttons knobs and so forth.
I noticed you have chance on the drum sequencer and not on the note sequencer. Is that doable? Is it doable on other devices like the fire? Note chance when sequencing is kind of a big deal.

What do you mean with "Yamaha keyboard"? If you mean Montage or MODX, they only provide access to some of their controls. So, not very impressive what you could do with these (and the Generic Flexi is sufficient to do so).

It is both on my TODO list.

ok thanks. look forward to it.

Just to be clear for both the XL and the Fire? Velocity spread as well?

Yes, but not sure yet how or when.

Hi there, recently got myself a tablet and am exploring TouchOSC. Very interesting possibilities!

Trying to wrap my head around how things work, I'd just like to check whether the Bitwig TouchOSC template that is included in the download package is kept up-to-date? I notice, for instance, that the name of the "Clip launcer" page is "XY Pads" - this sounds like a legacy name from perhaps an older version? Beyond that, although the clip launcher page kind of works, it is not particularly interactive and the scripts that are added to each button don't seem to work. There also some other items that seems to no longer work as intended, the "Play" button only plays whilst being held (and similar).

I'm not sufficiently familiar with TouchOSC to determine whether this is error on my behalf, or whether the Bitwig template is just perhaps not very updated? I've installed the "Protokol" application from Hexler and it seems like all the expected messages are sent and received.

Given the information available in template I can probably work something out, but just want to check whether I'm missing something first.

Thanks in advance!

This is quite a bit old and TouchOSC evolved quite a bit since then. If you want to do an overhaul this would be great.

Alright, good to hear! Unfortunate, but a relief! :)

As time permits I'll make an overhaul where I can, I'm definitely interested in something that works well with Bitwig.
