and it works in FF, just you have to download it, it doesn't stream,
please let me know, thanks!

You've done more with a single instance than I mangled with three
Not really in the same league but anyway here is 3 instances of Addifract and some Modelonia with a side order of BDM and extra effects and apologies for my terrible Italian (courtesy of Babel Fish)

well first of all I love when people reply using their music, and I must say that yours is a very inspired little piece, and I don't say that for you used my synths, <wink>azrael wrote:liqih wrote:All the sounds are from one single Addifract beta tweaked in realtime:

Right inside the package, I added a DLL which doesn't need the SSE2

It's an interesting synth - the current version seems to work fine in my ancient eXT sandbox.
The paper behind this which liqih mentions is actually here.
I'm no TC but Addifract makes me want to explore what it can do.
Not sure what is driving r and x in the synth, but it goes interesting places.

We shall see orchestral machines with a thousand new sounds, with thousands of new euphonies, as opposed to the present day's simple sounds of strings, brass, and woodwinds. -- George Antheil, circa 1925 ---

Already working on a longer version with an effect heavy choral section as per the track title. I may have to see if I can put Harptime in there now as well <grin>
Quick question with the beta, haven't tried it yet so this may just be me being dense. If you can't load anything, how do tell if a preset has saved properly? Is there a certain file size they should be? e.g. 396 bytes as in the alpha.
Cheers
Steve

"how do tell if a preset has saved properly?"
You can't tell, only I can when you send it to me, <grin>
but it should work just fine,
looking forward to the longer version of your track

Okay, I'll just have to see if I can come up with a couple more Jericho's over the next couple of days <grin>liqih wrote:"how do tell if a preset has saved properly?"

Just seemed strange that the beta's got some fxb & fxp included in the beta zip
Finishing the track may take a bit longer though

I'm having a hard time wanting to use this due to it crashing Sonar reliably every single time I attempt to load it in.
Until that is fixed, I cannot create any music with it.

Bassic Vybes
One thing I have noticed about Addifract is that you can get good sounds with or without the effect section turned on. Without effects there is a nice gritty edge to everything which I particularly like.
One idea I did have is that some sort of retriggerable LFO controlled automation on the balance control would give more texture to evolving sounds and drones and allow even short sounds to have more character. I hope that made sense - if not let me know and I'll try and be more lucid later on <grin>
