Anymore thinking of entering?
As I have found with Galileo this is a good opportunity to use a synth which has perhaps worked for you but has been 'deselected' due incompatibility on other folks' systems.
And there's still nearly 2 weeks to go

I'll do one when I can, although I think one of my synths is going to be drumatic for quickness. Just double checking, is convolution reverb aloud aslong as it and the ir's are free (just incase it counts as samples), and are you aloud to render the synth parts n chop them up, pitch etc?

Yes, even Reverberate LE is allowed as it is not pay- or donationware.
Of course you would feel so guilty winning with charityware that a donation would be made so it's a win-win situation..
Rendering or bouncing is also fine. Pitching those renders would I guess be borderline for normal OSCs, but I guess fine here for this special competition with its relaxed rules.

Uhmmm... I should shut up as I won't be able to partecipate this time, either, but to me that sounds just like sampling. He's talking about splicing, re-arranging, pitching ETC the renders, and that's no different from using samples within a sampler. Rules may be relaxed, but it's still a SYNTH competition...V'ger wrote: Rendering or bouncing is also fine. Sorry, just my humble opinion

I wasn't saying that because of you, it's just that sampling and such is something I've been advocating against since day one (well, my day one, anyway) as it really isn't about synthesis

I see you've listed the instances and FX on the file itself which is very neat, but technically they should listed together with your announcement as a post here in the submissions thread too.
The reason is that after the deadline all files will be moved to Archive.org and the SoundCloud group cleared for a new competition since SC will only allow 1 group with the free account. (well we've made another account for overlaps being used on NA2SC1 now, but that's exceptional). So if people want to come back later and see what was used, it will still be here in the thread.

- Cubase Studio 4 as host
- 10 instances of TAL Noisemaker
- 1 instance of Elektrostudio Rhytmus (tell me if is it fine, according to the "relaxed rules"... if not, I'll replace it with something else)
- Fx: Noisemaker internal chorus and reverb; Cubase maximizer, limiter and stereo enhancer
