Online Preset Browser in SynthMaster 2.5, what do you think?

Quick Update on the "online browser" features folks:

Uploading presets is working

Downloading presets list is also working

Now the remaining feature is to download and possibly save an "online" preset.

When an "online" preset is saved locally, it will be added to local presets list as well.

Not every "online" preset can be saved locally though. We'll add features for that, so that for instance a sound designer can upload his works and allow people to try them out for a certain time 8)

What do you mean by replicated?
That you could just copy the sound designer's preset and then just upload it?

No that is not possible. A user will only be able to upload a preset if he created it from scratch, so that the preset belongs to him.

OK, got the download working as well.

Now the only 2 things remaining for the current release for "online browser":

1) When a user uploads a preset, they will be asked if they want to allow other users to save the preset locally on their hard drives.

2) When the user clicks on an "online" preset, SM downloads it, and if the preset author allowed others to save it locally, the preset is saved locally on the user's hard drive and can be loaded from the hard drive from that point on instead of being downloaded. Of course for this to work correctly, I should also take into account the last update date of presets, as the online version might be newer than the local version.

Please make sure we can save all downloaded presets... it would suck to create a song based around one and then all the sudden not be able to load it when your internet is down, right?

Right now you can. Just click on "save as" after downloading a preset.
