If you want more info - tell me what you need!
Depends on the patch but that doesn't sound like a bug to me. I can use 50% of a core with just two notes on my i7 laptop. DIva is CPU hungry. I'm actually pleasantly surprised that it's not as CPU hungry as I thought it would be.
Up to 30% for a monophonic patch (with transistor ladder filter) and 40% for a 3 norte Synth Brass chord (with OTA ladder filter) at "great" quality here using a Core 2 Quad Q6600 (4 x 2.4 GHz) CPU. A Synth Strings patch with 3 notes and the OTA ladder filter is around 50-55%. The biggest CPU killer is the multimode /SVF filter with up to 70% for 3 notes. With "Draft" quality/accuracy this goes down to around 23%. The "accuracy" (=quality) setting is at the right part of the Master section of Diva.

Like already mentioned it's no surprise that Diva is CPU hungry but with lower quality settings (e.g. "fast") it should be usable on slower systems.

great is great, but divine is better 8)
Just checked it and there is almost no difference in CPU use compared to "great" quality. I got up to 56% for a 3 note Synth Strings patch (with OTA ladder filter) where i got around 55% with "great" quality (including playing fast note, less for playing slow). With "fast" quality it goes down to 35% and 25% with "draft" quality.

With "divine" quality and the multimode/SVF filter it goes up to 133% !! for the same preset. For chords I could only use the multimode filter at a "fast" quality setting. With the Transistor ladder filter it's around 72% at the same preset and "great" quality.

That space (or another) will be filled with a file selector for tun files :)

It would seem like my master lost the ability to play ever since Diva was installed ...

Ps. Could you add some kittens or maybe a bone into the gui?

Missing notes reproducable: Some 16th notes in a row without gaps in between at 120 bpm. First note is played and that was it.

Win 7 x64, Cubase 6 (32bit)

LP Filter OTA Ladder Rough/Clean switch seems to operate if clicked (click is heard) but, the switch does not visually move unless dragged.

also, i managed to make DIVA lose audio by switching through 3am presets - reloading DIVA gave audio back.

Seconding the range reseting bug when reseting detune knob.
Also modulation selectors appear to loose background time to time.

Feedback filter bug?

1. Load default patch.

2. Load DCO, Dual VCO, or Eco oscillator.

3. NOTE: Adjusting the 'Feedback' dial in the 'NO HPF JUST FEEDBACK' module has no effect.

4. Toggle the selector from Feedback to, eg, Post-LPF and back.

5. NOTE: Adjusting the feedback dial now works.

Win 7 x64, AMD Phenom II X4 965, S1 v2 32bit,

Just default settings (accuracy "great"), just 1 bar single notes loop:

CPU is at 70%, turning up emphasis, turning on effect 1 (except delay)
reliefs CPU consumption to go down to 25%.

Everything else I see already mentioned.

In the Dual VCO view, the pull-down for the second knob from the right on the bottom row of knobs doesn't work, in my host, Sonar X1c, i7 machine.

Changing the effects (so far just in effects 1 slot) intermittently causes UI to go blank, sound to disappear and I have to quit. It's rather random though. Logic 8.02, OSX 10.6.8, 2.8GHz Intel Core Duo.

I'm using an iMac 2.8GHz i7 Quad core running 32 bit Logic 9.1.5 in OSX 10.6.8

I'm having audio drop outs also, changing a preset and also just editing a patch. I have to restart Logic to get audio back.

Wonderful character to the sound. Congratulations to Urs and the u-he team.

Gosh, these notehangers in Logic are annoying. Will fix tomorrow.

Assigning Express to Tune Mod button doesn't appear to work. I'm probably doing something wrong...

I get them in Reaper, too.

Hi,

first of all: really great work Urs - I love this machine (it is definitely what I was looking for since years!).

One strange effect to report from my side: I installed Diva on 2 machines:

1) Laptop with a small Core2Duo and Win7 Home Premium 64Bit
2) Desktop with a more powerful Quad Core and Vista Home Premium 64Bit

Whereas I did not get any nothangers on the laptop (till now) I only have to play a handful of notes to get lots of them on the Desktop (de facto it is nearly "unplayable" here).

kind regards, humphrey
