I say you may do just fine in this politically correct environment! that ^^^ was a fine work of PC if you is askin meGrizzellda wrote:Guys, I have, for the last while, been sipping beer & enjoying the back & forth comments! Now I would like to contribute, if I may -
Gentlemen, say what you want but here we are in the summer of 2015 and MuLab is a boutique sequencer, and I think it will remain so. In a recent thread solipsvs tried to convince Jo on how to make MuLab more marketable, commercial, etcetera, and my recent ideas regarding fonts were also headed in this direction. But still - I'm not sure what any of this could really amount to.
I'm counting on you guys to correct me if I'm wrong...
Let's just face it and proceed from here, accordingly. MuLab has a unique place in the DAW land! It will not be Pro Tools, Cubase & the others. I feel that the best we can do as users is to keep an open dialogue going with Jo, and make good suggestions that he may (or may not!) entertain. I'm sure that he has got an initial goal for MuLab (from the start), but is clearly listening to his customers. It is some kind of balancing act, or just a weird soap opera!
So what do you guys say, huh?
BTW fonts have been known to raise the sales figures of other DAWs, why else do you think they do it?

solipsvs, I'm not trying to be a smart ass or anything, just wondering why you are posting here...ultimately, this forum is supposed to be about a computer program called MuLab. If you want to explore other issues, then there are other forums...
When you said I was trying to be "politically correct" it became clear that you weren't really paying attention, but rather doing your own thing, which, I guess, is why I used the word "agenda". Because I was reading a recent thread in which you seemed to want to re-engineer Jo's whole marketing strategy, not that there is one!!
So here is a simple question:
Do you actually use MuLab?

not really. ive owned it for about a decade tho. i mainly use mux inside maschine and various hardware items that i collect, lots of new software on the ipad, etc. im a sucker for new technology or ancient stuff used in a new way.
hey maybe you should read my other thread again if you missed the point. i thought i was crystal clear the whole time but if your powers of perception are not focused then who could blame you for getting it wrong? not i!
nice try at knocking me off of my horse tho!

Well, I don't think I missed the point - you were talking about marketing, but of course that's Jo's business. If you want to clarify anything I will certainly listen...

Just stop responding to the nonsense- or even better- edit your posts to resume the pleasure of caring about MuLab!

Sometimes it's great fun to tease each other, but it can get ugly quick for no reason.
By the way, Grizzellda, have you tried the latest version and its font solutions? Any better for you now?
