It would indeed be very cool... but I suspect that implementing anything polyphonic would mean a major redesign. Thinks: polyphonic comb filter applied to stereo drums? :-)
No way to implement this strictly for the keyboard-controlled mode ? (too bad if it's indeed the case...)

I would like to see the simplest of subtractive synths, with the most awesome sound possible.
Two oscillators, one filter, 2 lfo's and a tonal changing knob, that can either act as a sub, or an extra filter.
Something simple yet powerful.

Carry on with your fanboy lovefest now.

You know it was a joke right?

Absolutely Zebra 3.

Then a dedicated physical modeling synth please.

Post

Zebra3 and then finish working on that Berlin Modular project :D
:borg:

Actually, I change my mind again... forget the physical modeled synth

Zebra 3 first (that will not change)

Then ACE XL

I'd love an ACE with more modules from Bazille such as Lags, Quantizer, 4 multiples, Sequencer, ModMappers, Looping Envelopes... Also some new/updated filter models, and a couple other tricks added :-)

I've always wondered why people who hate certain developers, software, etc. try to classify everyone else who doesn't share in the dislike, hate, etc. "fanboys". What would one call the opposite of a fanboy? :?

A non-fanboy?

Sane?

Me?

Take your pick.
You seem to think anyone who isn't miserable and bitter like you is somehow a fanboy. Sanity is seeing the bigger picture and accepting life as imperfect. Overall, u-he makes great stuff. Sure there have been some bumps and mistakes (like talking about the uhbik-X before it was realized), but overall, u-he makes a valuable contribution to music making. The sane person understands this and gets on with creative living.

He just doesn't know the correct meaning of "fanboy".

Don't feed the troll btw.

Sorry also if I'm not into discussing the mistakes in Uhbik development over and over again and again. All I can say is, we got a new design for them and it's extensible this time.

As for "next plug-in" - the developers at u-he will spend the coming months mostly on training and documentation. I'm sharing my knowledge with them so that everyone has a better insight into how we do things and why. Such that also the responsibility for required changes (refactoring, new plug-in formats, new hosting paradigms, new MIDI extensions) can be taken off my shoulder. So that, in future, it isn't me who does most of the dirty work. So that I can concentrate on evolving things and we can have faster product cycles.

Therefore, don't expect a next u-he plug-in soon. Even though our "learning example" indeed is deemed to become a new product. Just don't ask what and when.
