A start to finish video for less than the price of a movie from a pro with Platinum & Gold records.
A home recording mixed by a pro is something I've always thought about, budget gear and all.

I really like "Ed Talenti" - he is so positive and optimistic.
I also like "Matt Johnson Jamiroquai" - he is (or was ?) a Jamiroquai player. His channel is more about keyboard playing skills as well as hardware synths - he is amazing
"Venus Theory" is also very nice - it's more about soft synths etc.

I'd recommend the Beat Academy youtube channel. You'll get even more out of it if you're an Ableton Live user, but you'll still learn a ton whatever DAW you're on. I'd say it's more geared towards beginners, but the host is a cool guy and the content enjoyable to watch, no matter how advanced your knowledge is. I basically got my start watching every single video on the channel, when I still didn't know anything about how things worked and was just confused about everything. It helped me a lot and I started connecting dots together. It's a great starting point in my opinion

I've got a few that I like. There's "Nathan James Larsen", "Produce Like a Pro", and "Andrew Huang". They all give different perspectives of music production, but all have provided very useful to me

I think the use of certain FX plugins degrades audio, I think they smear the sound, I don't know if it's oversampling related.
Hardware (including Acustica Nebula/Acqua) sounds wide, open and natural to me.

There are many, but a lot I like Marc Daniel Nelson on ProduceLikeAPro. The man has a great knowledge/bio and his tipps are spot on, for example this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8NFpMlhJOo (but he already got quite a few on that channel)

this channel also has great videos if you want to get deeper into things,
like this "You don't understand EQ": he talks about phase, ringing, headroom, chain, etc. ,
and after theory gives some great tipps you might not have known yet, starting at about 10:00 Min.

“In the Mix” has some great videos if FL Studio is your thing. He doesn’t seem to post as frequently anymore though.

You suck at producing (Underbelly) is the man!Dust_NL wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 5:49 pm My 2 cents. Maybe ‘a little’ techno oriented, but very good tutors and theoretical backgrounds, not only showing ‘how to make this sound’. I learned a lot from them.
