Don't worry about overwriting the factory presets, MuLab has a protection mecanism that when you would save a MUX preset over a factory preset (in the app/library/mux sub-folder), it will automatically save it into your user folder. That mecanism is already in there for a long time and it will also apply to the new MuDrum, MuSynth, MuSampla and MultiSampla presets. So please don't worry about loosing 'the factory versions'.

I can confirm that MuLab crashes when trying to add the MultiSample Selector component to the Front Panel. This also applies to any new MUX.

I'm sorry to say but i discovered a data bug in the file format used by the M9.1.1 alpha version.
Please do not use the M9.1.1 alpha for saving anything.
I hope no one of you already saved important things with it that cannot be remade.
If that would be the case please let me know, but i really really hope it's not the case.
This also applies to the MuDrum, MuSynth, MuSampla and MultiSampla presets in the zip file i shared earlier today. Please delete them! I'll share the correct versions soon.
Anything saved with M9.1.1 must be regarded trash.
Apologies for any inconvenience this might cause.
I really hope this message comes in time. (if not, let me know)

I always work with release-versions, but i really want to test the features of the alpha. I can't wait to get it, if it's available for download again. I could imagine that this is the front-panel-heaven, when i read the changelogmutools wrote: Wed Apr 05, 2023 4:58 pm Thx!
I hope also all other M9.1.1 alpha users feel the same.

mutools wrote: Wed Apr 05, 2023 9:08 amWith this new approach you can customize MuDrum in any way you like and save it as a preset. So you can also have different versions of MuDrum: Eg a simple version with minimized editors, or a maxi version with certain pads even including other front panel components like a step sequencer or filter section etc. You have much more control over MuDrum, MuSynth, MuSampla and MultiSampla now, also over their names.Scrubbing Monkeys wrote: Wed Apr 05, 2023 12:40 am I found the same and requested we continue to have those as devices along side the ability to customize if desired. I guess we could technically do it ourselves by saving a Init instance of each but I do like Mudrum having the integrated sampler in the gui. Not sure if it is possible to have it both ways.
Perfect. That checks all the boxes in my wish list.
I tried last night to build Mudrum the way it was. Given the present tools I couldnt do it. The biggest obstacle was the ability of Mudrum pads to connect to racks in the front panel. This is very convenient.
And to respond to an earlier question i missed concerning the expanded pad page showing two samplers being too big.
I am using a laptop with a resolution of 1360 x X.. So yeah its pretty small. I was able to solve that in my build attempt. MuDrum as it is, is quite element.
Being able to add/remove elements to the MuDrum Device is perfect.....for me anyway.
We jumped the fence because it was a fence not be cause the grass was greener.

It's better that the M9.1.1 package is completely deleted as it contains a bug in the file format and as messaged earlier any files written by M9.1.1 should be regarded as trash. In fact i'm building further on it with M9.1.2 which will use an evolved file format, and hopefully also featuring Tab Frames for Front Panels. I hope to share M9.1.2 one of the days.humanboeing wrote: Sun Apr 09, 2023 2:41 pm Does anyone still have the package? I was too late to grab it and I'd like to test it![]()

MuLab App 9.1.2 alpha for Windows 64 bit is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... 64-exe.zip
Put the new MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID files in your existing MuLab 9 folder thus overwriting the previous MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID files.
What's changed compared to M9.1.1:
When adding a Tab Frame to a front panel, you also have to add Tab Buttons onto that Tab Frame to enable the tab panes = the container area for placing other components. Best to place the Tab Buttons in the "margins" of the Tab Frame because the tab panes are automatically taking all area except the margins. The advantage of the separate Tab Buttons is that you can position and color them as you want. Important to indicate which Tab the button should be connected to, that's the "Tab Index" in the tab button property panel. Maximum 8 tabs are supported. So if you add 4 tab buttons there will be 4 tab panes on which you can put other panel components. Clicking a tab button shows the corresponding tab pane and hides the others. Hope this brief info is sufficient. If any questions just ask.
This still is an alpha version. I'm aware i'm still in a recovery phase so maybe there are some bugs. Help in testing this alpha is much appreciated. Thanks!

What's changed compared to M9.1.1:
- Fixed the crash bug when adding a Multi-sampler selector on a front panel.
- Fixed the file format data error.
- New: Front Panel Tab Frames. More info below.
- Legacy MuDrum conversion now uses a Tab Frame resulting in a more compact drum pad editor, close to how it was in M8 / M9.0.
- When dragging a window and the corners/sides are close to another window the dragged window is snapped.

Thanks for this update! You don't need to explain yourself re potential bugs. It's hugely impressive that you are soldiering on at this time. I'm sure your mother is very proud. Will download and test as best I can.mutools wrote: Thu Apr 13, 2023 7:12 pm This still is an alpha version. I'm aware i'm still in a recovery phase so maybe there are some bugs.
