Right you were using it from before.. there is a Install FActory presets option in one of the menus... I imagine that should do it.

Hmm yeah this doesn't look right -- is the UI resized? What OS are you on? There's an option in the setting dropdown to reset the UI size, can you try that? Sometimes the resizing causes aliasing issues on windows. We're looking at a solution for that, but at the normal scale it should look right. There's an option in some DAWs which can effect how the plugin renders as wellVortifex wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 9:59 pm Is it supposed to look this blurry? I put it next to Icarus which is pin sharp and clear in comparison. The blurriness of the fonts is actually quite unpleasant on my eyes:

That was my last deciding question off to buy..Minimal Audio wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 10:30 pmI think I may have missed it but they're they're the same and both can be combined with cashzvenx wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 9:59 pm Did you see the one about loyalty credit vs bonus credit?

If I buy a year, does my credit show up now or at the end?

You should be able to MIDI learn through you DAW -- we don't have an in app midi learn function at the moment, just through the DAW. If you have reference for other products that have good midi learn which is better than that please let us know and we'll look into it.zvenx wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 10:15 pm And two more questions.. I assume midi learn is on the to do list?
We have it stored in the preset and the cloud -- we're going to add more "sync" type functionality so that favorites you make online or in other systems all pull down and sync across everything. For now though, yeah copying the database & factory folder to the other machine would do it.zvenx wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 10:15 pm Also how do I transfer the information of what I have favourited from mac to pc or vice versa?
Is that info stored in the preset or is it on a datbase file somewhere?

The credit comes at the end of the billing cycle, but you can cancel anytime and you still get it, and the all access will still work for the year, so it shouldn't make much of a difference. LMK if there's a concern there.zvenx wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 10:34 pm That was my last deciding question off to buy..

Why do I get the impression that it is more about the money than the synth?
I mean, for 200 bucks it should be a super-duper synth that blows everything else out of the water.

My only concern is my plan is at some point (I just did the year) to buy a perpetual license... I am afraid to download content that I will eventually have to buy after I do that...Minimal Audio wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 10:36 pmThe credit comes at the end of the billing cycle, but you can cancel anytime and you still get it, and the all access will still work for the year, so it shouldn't make much of a difference. I think it is mostly Steinberg's plugins that require you to do it thru the daw..Minimal Audio wrote: Wed Nov 08, 2023 10:34 pmYou should be able to MIDI learn through you DAW -- we don't have an in app midi learn function at the moment, just through the DAW. ...
Many if not not most allow you to right click, midi learn and move your controller and that is stored..
So many of them, not sure which one to mention...
Serum maybe?
Initially it wasn't part of vst3 spec but steinberg relented a few years ago and allow it.

I know it is early days, what I would also love, is to be able to navigate presets up and down from my computer keyboard up and down arrow. Serum is an example that does this.

He's not wrong - especially not the first part. First it was about subscriptions, now I read mostly about rent to own plans, bonus credit, loyalty credit, maximum sales discounts. It's a shame that all this has to be so complex. I'm sure the devs worked their asses off for the synth and it looks pretty powerful (disclaimer, I haven't tried it). I'm certain if the synth had been released as a perpetual license only at price X with an introductory offer at price Y - as we've seen many times before - the synth itself would be in the focus of the discussion. That's what I had wished for the devs and their hard work.
For what price X and Y should be, I don't know. 200€ is a lot for a synth, but if that's what the devs require to stay financially healthy, then that's it. Anyway, my best wishes for the devs. May Current be the success they want it to be. I'm not in the market right now, but maybe some day.

Yes the subscription was a bad move.. they acknowledged that and changed that, there are now three options.. rent to own month by month, rent to own for the entire year (one payment), one time payment for perpetual license..
Why is that complex?
I think part of the issue is freeware and cheap plugins so that so many people now think they are entitled to cheap plugins.
Are they some cheap great plugins? Yes of course..(Tal instantly comes to mind)
But not every developer needs to follow that and do cheap plugins.. If the plugin is too expensive for someone, (whether they can't afford it or it is they don't' think it has enough value for them) vote with their wallet.
To bitch about the price and expect it to be the end all of synthesizers, to me is just an example of entitled behaviour.
If it is too expensive for someone, fine, then it is not for them.
Btw if you do the rent to own for one year, you end up getting it for $139.
