But in order to support PT 11, all plug-ins are required by Avid to use some other Pace technology to verify they have not been hacked. Yay--extra systems coding that does not give us any real benefit! (sarcasm.)
Done soon hopefully...
The labels underneath the knobs for example; just typical problem w all other plugins look just as good/bad except PA who somehow have support for HiDPi, don't know what/how they do but on my MBPr their GUI looks practically lickable...Galbanum wrote: What'd ya mean? Hey now hey now...We're sneaking in a couple extra new features in B2 also. Shhh it's secret.
On whcih Skins? Small/normal or HD?softska wrote: The labels underneath the knobs for example; just typical problem w all other plugins look just as good/bad except PA who somehow have support for HiDPi, don't know what/how they do but on my MBPr their GUI looks practically lickable...
Oh I see. That could make sense on the small skin b/c the small skin uses a special font designed for really small text. It is like 1-bit font, no anti-aliasing, as it turns out to be most readable at very small sizes. But if that gets re-sampled and interpolated by a retina display it might get more blurry b/c it is not being displayed as it is designed exactly. The interpolation alg prob does not know what should be a hard edge and what should be smoothed when resizing.softska wrote: On my old MBP they look just fine, it's solely a retina screen problem: https://developer.apple.com/library/mac ... Thanks (for all the presets you've contributed)xtrax wrote:I just uploaded new folder for the 1.6

While I like big GUIs, I'm not a fan of full-screen usage for plugins because while I work with a plugin it's useful to me to have simultaneous access to my mixer (sends, returns, levels, distribution, etc...) and sometimes other plugin windows. Maybe it's a question of workflow. But I could see it as an option; of course ultimately the ideal would be a fully re-sizeable GUI...Galbanum wrote:Plus I am personally a fan of full-screen apps. Something like our verbs you don't need to have open at all times, and when it is open you are focused on it. So why not take over the full screen while using it, and then close the window.
I've just downloaded the latest ontheir webby, both Berlin, Indigo and HD versions are there in the info panel for : Windows7x64 Cubase7x64Breeze wrote:BTW, just a niggle: it looks like there's no Indigo or Indigo HD Skin in my 1.60 Beta 2 [B120], PC 64-bit. FYI...
Thanks for your generosity in sharing these! But is this link correct? It links to three single Large Hall presets.xtrax wrote:I just uploaded new folder for the 1.6

Oops. You're right...MFXxx wrote:I've just downloaded the latest ontheir webby, both Berlin, Indigo and HD versions are there in the info panel for : Windows7x64 Cubase7x64
Peace
No problem Breeze, to be honest I have found with the GUI I would prefer a size setting between the two.Breeze wrote:Oops. You're right...MFXxx wrote:I've just downloaded the latest ontheir webby, both Berlin, Indigo and HD versions are there in the info panel for : Windows7x64 Cubase7x64
PeaceFor some reason I was expecting a more dramatic difference between the two, like in Breeze. I haven't been able to run Aether in a while...
Thanks, I found and installed the "Expression D" bank yesterday, but his message seemed to imply that the whole bank was updated. It's hard to keep up with you, Den, but this is not a complaint!MFXxx wrote:I think you'll find Den has only updated the 3 individual presets. Have a scour through his aether/breeze post on GS you will find what you are looking for. Think they are are compatible with 1.6 just not pre 1.51 builds.
What Galbanum, U-he and others are doing to accommodate different GUI sizes is just the beginning. Eventually I think it'll be possible to satisfy all the people all the time: while it's not the original intention, the potential of 4k+ tech using pixels so small as to become imperceptible could create a revolution in display capabilities allowing all manner of resizing: full screen scaling, different zoom levels in each window, infinitely variable GUI sizes... all without any loss of resolution. But everyone will have to play ball for this to happen, from the devs and artists to the graphic card and OS manufacturers. This could take a while. So for now I take what I can get and I'm thankful for it.MFXxx wrote:...to be honest I have found with the GUI I would prefer a size setting between the two.
Cant satisfy all the people all the time ;~)
This worked! Thank you Echoes in the Attic!Echoes in the Attic wrote:Just wanted to say that I've now been able to load Aether in Ableton Live. When I installed the new version it still didn't show up, so I removed the VST, loaded live again (which rescanned), then closed live reinstalled and then it showed up.
