Hi Uncle E. I am not seeing the 10% category on the site navigation menu on the left side, unless I am missing something. The others are there and seem to work okay. Thought you may want to know if you weren’t aware. Or let me know if I need to look elsewhere for it.Uncle E wrote: Wed Apr 13, 2022 5:33 amThanks! That's a great idea! I added categories for them in our navigation menu:epiphaneia wrote: Mon Apr 11, 2022 6:56 am Would it make sense to mark products that allow (or: don´t allow) coupon codes?

Has anyone bought the new UVI Soul Drums library? If so, any thoughts/recommendations?

Listened the demos - sounds pretty shitty to me. Idea is goood - the implementation less good.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 10:23 am Has anyone bought the new UVI Soul Drums library? If so, any thoughts/recommendations?
That was disappointment, because I own 9 UVI libraries, incl. a couple of their drum libs, plus 10 effect, and found UVI a quality developer.

Thanks for your opinion. I thought some of the demos sound rather good? Different taste I guess. Covers many different type of drums by the looks of it. Any reason why you dislike the sounds? Too dry?Harry_HH wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 10:43 amListened the demos - sounds pretty shitty to me. I read a couple of comments elsewhere about slowness with the preset browsing, so thought to check if anyone has bought it already and if they like it enough and if they are facing any issues using it.

The demos sound really crunchy and edgy. I get why they did that, it sounds like old soul and Motown records, but it's I find it painful to listen to on its own. Modern soul/Neo-Soul recordings don't have those same sharp edges.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 10:50 am I thought some of the demos sound rather good? Different taste I guess. Thanks, that's an interesting thought. I think the drums are meant to be 1960s/70s, so maybe that's the reason. Any example of a modern soul/neo-soul or other similar drum library?Uncle E wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 11:04 pmThe demos sound really crunchy and edgy. Some of the Soul Drums presets sound like some Toontrack's EZX (and even Addictive Drums 2) to me. So, it is probably a good deal at intro price instead of buying multiple, expensive and specific Toontrack EZXs since it seems to be covering various genres and gives enough tweaking options. I am not into Toontrack stuff, but have owned some EZXs earlier, so thought to mention for others considering buying Toontrack EZXs.

Yes, and it's a great reason. I don't fault them for doing it that way, I just found myself wincing as I was listening to the demos.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Mon Apr 18, 2022 4:08 am Thanks, that's an interesting thought. I think the drums are meant to be 1960s/70s, so maybe that's the reason.

The Soul Drums indeed don't sound polished/modern/clean but are rather more acoustic sounding in a specific (Motown) way.
After some careful consideration I realize I don't need UVI Soul Drums and I am pretty much covered in the drums department with what I have.

I also bought these great sounding Maschine kits from Yurt Rock recently for a good price. I think there are a couple of Motown inspired kits in there. With some special promo codes floating around, these can be had for even cheaper. I will see if I can find any codes and post them here in case anyone is interested.

Contains separate audio files, so no Maschine hardware/software needed.

@Uncle E:
I bought the Flux channel strip the other day but never received a license for their analyzer (promo atm). Is there a delay bc of Easter or are the ones bought at JRR not eligible (other vendors are ?!?) ?
