Fair enough, instead of simply saying "usually" I should have explicitly stated "in countries where English is the primary language". I'd expect that to carry over to "when writing in English"---it's a bit like using French << >> or Spanish ¿ ? for punctuation in English---but I'd suppose it might be standard in some European countries to use the non-English punctuation for numbers even when the rest of the text is in English. But when communicating in English with people not from the EU it may create confusion (or in this case a more accurate assessment of true value...).

I own the Legacy EQ plugin, which is the standalone version of the MPC Channel EQ. It's a bog standard digital EQ that cramps near Nyquist and does not offer any sonic advantages to your DAW's stock EQ. That being said, there might be no false marketing claims involved this time. Harrison claims it's "a versatile and musical EQ that was originally designed as an analog circuit with digital control, and later became a digital staple in high-end post-production and film studios around the world." So the MPC EQ they modelled is actually digital as well and it's quite possible that the original digital MPC console will also cramp near Nyquist. But depending on which part of Harrison's website you are, it's a bit ambiguous whether the Legacy EQ & MPC Channel were intended to model the digitally controlled *analog* EQ from the MPC and not an actual DSP based digital EQ. In that case the model would deviate from the original, because analog EQs do not cramp.Ou_Tis wrote: Tue Jan 16, 2024 1:42 pm1.500$ usually means $1.50, which is about what I'd consider paying for it....mgw38 wrote: Tue Jan 16, 2024 12:14 pmI'm really curious about that one. I usually don't care if companies overcharge for their plugins. Caveat emptor. However, 2 years ago Dan Worral showed in his "Why does it Null?" video that Harrison's claim of emulating a Harrison Console is essentially a big pile of BS, at least for their 32C Channel Strip.
Anybody knows if the MPC Channel Strip is actually doing something? If it has no value, this needs to be called out around here.

Worral know his stuff but put you hand up if you can personally hear cramping near Nyquist? Anyone?

In case anyone is interested in iZotope Elements Suite, it will be the lowest price I can remember seeing it for next week.

I don't think the problem is so much with the product, but rather with the way Harrison presented it and promised what it would be.

Exactly. It's not easy to hear Nyquist cramping but if they say it's beautifully analog modelled, it better not have cramping. Simple as that.Blaster wrote: Fri Jan 19, 2024 9:31 am I don't think the problem is so much with the product, but rather with the way Harrison presented it and promised what it would be.
To be fair to Harrison on this particular case though, they don't mention anything on the MPC Channel Strip plugin webpage about the EQ being analog-esque - and rightly so.

We will send you a single code. Some of these bundle codes turn into separate full, unregistered codes after registration of the bundle code but I don't know if that's the case here.trager wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2024 1:03 pm Uncle E, could you possibly confirm how many separate serials/licenses come with the SSL-Harrison Compressor Bundle?

I wish you were authorized to sell Eventide cross grades/upgrades. I saw you sell soundtoys superplate upgrade from their freebie recently. Do some vendors not allow you to sell upgrades? I figured that ilok license upgrades would be a piece of cake because you have to verify/surrender licenses to activate them. Was interested in the newfangled mastering bundle upgrade from equivocate.Uncle E wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2024 11:15 pmWe will send you a single code. Sometimes. Eventide let us sell Anthology Upgrades years ago. Nothing else.

Yea, same. It does cover a lot of ground some of my other plugins like D16 Tekturon do but I think it’s handy to have that built in ducking and can maybe make use of some of the non-standard modes too.paolostylo wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2024 2:11 pmcptgone wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2024 1:36 pmEventide offers a crossgrade ($29.40 in my case).everyPlugin.com wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2024 5:00 am New from Eventide / Newfangled : Recirculate
