Hi ..Urs..I was not referring to losing in any way interest in Zebra..I was voicing my frustration with the way it works in LIve.. It IS my go to synth..In Logic all seems well. But I love to use Live also, and for the life of myself and the support team at Ableton..Don't seem to have a concrete answer as to why this happens..JON

Oh...
well, all I can say is that Apple made me jump through hoops with their strategy to put up Carbon plugin guis into Cocoa Windows, and with Compositing vs. non-Compositing Windows and with Jaguar/Panther/Tiger vs. Leopard. This technical stuff has me constantly working around certain limitations back and forth.
I now come to the conclusion that I need to code two different interfaces, one for Logic/GB/AU Lab and one for other hosts, as it's not possible to cater both strategies with the very same code.
On the good side: As the new code works for Logic/GB/AU Lab and the old code works for Bidule/Metro/Live/DP/PT/Tracktion/C4 etc., it's already there. I just have to branch at some point and use either version. Which is still a hassle and costs a couple of extra days for implementation and debugging.
So yeah, we'll hopefully soon be back on "works everywhere"

Hi Urs..Yeah familiar with the Apple jump thru hoops thing..Not a very flexible set-up..As you say however..Not much can be done..Apple seems to have been born with poor hearing at best and grown quite deaf and stubborn as the time passed..I am working on the Live issue..It just got to the point were everything seemed fine and I found the culprit..Only to find the disquise changed..But I can only say I love the Zebra..I tell everyone I know to check it out..Thanks for a truely wonderful thing.. JON

when i instantiate zebra on a new midi track, it causes the previous zebra instance to go up in pitch!!

Just tried it here and it's working fine. What version of zebra are you using? AU, VST?

Yes I get this to on live 6 - 7,0,3 and with all Z2 final releases I am using XPSp2.beatz wrote:i'm having a weird problem with live 7.03

The pitch will return to normal when live is stopped and started which makes me think it has something to do with the way live/Z2 handle automation/clip envelopes.

Wasn't there a bug in Live that made it transpose Zebra down by an octave or two when moving a track, but just the Audio Units version?
Hmmm... but on WinXP... very strange!

Yeah, that was in Live 6, fixed in later releases though.

Just got a crash in Live 7.0.7 with this. Seemed maybe to have something to do with automation:
