Good, put some samples up when you're done, I want to hear this immeasurable impossibility of 40% in audio improvement, of course your samples could be 128 Kbps MP3s, but hey!
Dave.
Where's he gone then?

This is why we can't have nice things.DaveHoskins wrote:Good, put some samples up when you're done, I want to hear this immeasurable impossibility of 40% in audio improvement, of course your samples could be 128 Kbps MP3s, but hey!

But yeah. 40% improvement. Apply it again and that's 96% improvement (please forgive my bad math from the previous post). Etc...
You should be able to input single bit noise and, after a few iterations of the precious patented process, have a symphony orchestra (or something "better") come out!

i'd be more inclined to assume he meant 40% as in ~4.5db maximum in ideal conditions.

But dB is a relative measure of power or intensity. Not betterness. And besides, I'm pretty sure you can't patent multiplication. (I hope anyway!)aciddose wrote:i'd be more inclined to assume he meant 40% as in ~4.5db maximum in ideal conditions.

well i'm talking in terms of noise reduction for example. 4.5db would really lick the mutt-balls.
there is really no quantifier for betterment.

Where did he mention noise reduction? And how does it know what part of my MP3 is noise? (I assume if it processes audio files on playback from an iPhone it's meant for music. Or will it make podcasts 40% awesomer too?) If I'm listening to, like, death metal, will it attenuate it to -∞ dB? That would be betterer.aciddose wrote:well i'm talking in terms of noise reduction for example. 4.5db would really lick the mutt-balls.

it's in the context. basically everything he said was noise.AdmiralQuality wrote:Where did he mention noise reduction?

if i record myself farting or burping, i wonder what would this incredible technology do to the audio material? ;]
It doesn't matter how it sounds..
