loving the free one. hmmmm...still hesitating but might get the full one ;)

you ever do sales?

btw, the calibration is also related to the entire signal/drive? (the VU is mentioned but would like to know if input drive can be regulated with this.)

If you're loving the free one, you'll be ecstatic with the full one. ;)

We usually do some kind of promo when we first release the plug-in.

Calibration sets where is 0 dB VU is in relation to 0 dB FS; changing calibration does not change the sound. For example, if calibration is set to -12 that means that 0 dB VU corresponds to -12 dB FS. Input is regulated by two "INPUT" knobs at the bottom of the plug-in.

Thanks for the reply! :)

I'm running under Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks (Yosemite is slowing my old MacBook) and I've updated Code Red Free 1.2.0 but it does not working any more, so I need to recover Code Red Free 1.1.5... but I can't find it : none installer in my files, nothing available on the Shattered Glass Audio website...

So, if anybody can help me and share Code Red Free 1.1.5 (Mac Audio Unit version), it saves some projects of mine.

Thank you very much !

Version 1.2.0
  • Added support for AAX. There is no need for an additional license if you already purchased Code Red.
  • Improved support for AU
  • Squashed bugs
I read somewhere that native Apple Silicon support for Code Red / Code Red Free was planned for 2024.

Is that still on schedule?
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Sorry to disappoint, but that was never planned.

So you're saying there will be no Apple Silicon update for Code Red?

Abandonware obviously.

That's disappointing.

That's not what we are saying. Your original post quoted below

suggests that the plan was to release Code Red (Free) for Apple Silicon in 2024. "that was never planned" in our reply refers to 2024, as in it was not planned for 2024.

Thanks for clarifying.
Perhaps a more complete answer from the start would have avoided the confusion.

With that in mind, could you fill us in on what to expect regarding Code Red / Free in the future?

Apple Silicon has been on the market for 4 years now, so at this point just about everything that was going to get ported has been. The Apple Silicon Plugin database has been shutdown because it's no longer even relevant. So perhaps you could see why people are concerned about Code Red at this point.

Sadly, that seems to be true. Kush may be an exception because they keep dripping out AS versions of their plugins, at least as betas. It would be nice to see how Code Red performs on my M3 Pro.
