Very nice, both the tones and the playing

I love SGs. I really really really like this new blueberry fade finish. I am left-handed, so pickings are slim. So yes, that'll be the one would have if I could have any... It's not that exotic. I'd prefer it in "JR" though... The simpler the better.

I am left-handed too but when I was first interested in playing and purchasing my first guitar the guy in the shop suggested I learn right-handed, so I did. That was definitely a bonus with purchasing guitars but not so sure about the creative-aspect. I also like SG's, that blueberry is definitely a cool finish.

Gary Moore was a leftie. Mark Knopfler is a leftie.

Otis Rush, Jimi Hendrix and Tony Iommi are the left-handed players I always think of.

I thought both Moore and Knopler were/are right-handed.

No. That's why I mentioned them. Well regarded lefties playing right handed guitars. They were not limited by it. In fact, the strength in their left hands may have been a benefit.

My comment was more or less a reply to this ...

Being left handed didn't hinder Moore or Knopfler.

I never realised so many lefthanders played right-handed. My dad was right-handed but played golf left-handed. My girlfriend paints [art] with both her left and right hands equally and is predominantly left-handed but quite ambidextrous.

I am a really awkward left hander although I did have an accident when i was a kid that limited the use of my right arm for many years so maybe that is a bigger influence than being left and playing right. Potato peelers are the bane of my existence and I prefer to navigate a computer with the keyboard rather than a mouse.

The paintwork reminded me of the 'Tosser Bass' a bit. I found out the other week that my mate Joe has now sanded it down and re-sprayed it in some boring finish. Philistine. :x

Actually, I just saw a red one on Amazon which was a twin neck 12str/6str. I think that'll do me.
