
KV331 has updated SynthMaster 2 / Player to version 2.9.17. Here's what they say:
After a long while, we are glad to announce a new update for SynthMaster 2 and SynthMaster 2 Player. Our registered users can download this update inside SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player by checking for updates, or from the user area page on our website.
New features:
- Added preview preset feature for presets that have audio previews in ogg format.
- Added native Apple Silicon support on MacOS for SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player AAX version.
- SynthMaster 2 now uses user email/serial from SynthMaster One / SynthMaster Player / SynthMaster 3 license key files if those products are already installed.
- Added side-chain (audio) input for the VST3 version of SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player.
- Added 50 new factory presets by Xenos Soundworks.
- Added VST3 folder select dialog for Windows setup.
Bug Fixes:
- SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player VST3 does not process poly aftertouch messages.
- MPE doesn't work for the SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player VST3 version.
- MIDI CC messages don't work when SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player VST3 version is running inside Bigwig DAW.
- SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player VST3 crashes the DAW when exiting.
- SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player user interface initial load time is too slow.
- SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player might freeze/crash when parsing wave files.
- Saving global MIDI mappings corrupts SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player config file.
- When the license key file is shown for the AudioUnits version, keyboard entry is not possible.
- SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player might crash when running idle voices.
- When a preset is loaded, SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player AAX throws AAE -20021 error.
- Preset browser filters are reset when SynthMaster 2 / SynthMaster 2 Player VST3 plugin window is closed and then reopened.
Also included with this release is the ability to preview preset audio demos in real-time. In previous releases KV331 added support for Native Kontrol Standard (NKS), and prepared audio previews for existing presets in ogg format. If a preset has audio preview, you will see a play icon next to the preset name, and when you move mouse over the play icon, the preset preview will start playing.
