Not anytime soon, but possibly some time later. Once we have the opportunity to experiment with this, which is rare while we finalize the initial features of Z3…
That's good enough for me.

I think you can just is the curve filter to do this. Draw like a square wave or something and move the filter knob to cut off the upper partials

Thanks for answering Urs.

Two things… a request to have notches that snap for the knob when you select harmonic or log clusters so you can dial in exact harmonics more precisely

And, is there a way (or future update) to add harmony or upper partials in the additive engine? I was playing with one of the noise engineering modules and they have an additive knob that lets you add harmony/octaves to a wave.

Thanks!

hi, does anyone know if the additive engine in zebra will have a resynthesis function?

Like dropping samples in? I doubt it.

It's not made for that. It can turn samples into Curves, and then morph the Curves. One can sometimes get close to the original sample, but it requires a lot of work, and maybe some luck. There are definitely better tools to do resynthesis, which are usually sample based.

Oh, I see, thanks. well, I'm sure it will be great for other things.

I just wanted to find a tool for creative vocal samples manipulation, and I thought maybe the upcoming Zebra might be the one.

Maybe look into Icarus 3.

thanks! I will.
Previously, I've tried a trial, but I didn't like the UI. But yes, I should give it another try.

Icarus is not my favorite GUI, but it is useable. Icarus is pretty good for what you describe.

I don't have Serum 2, but I saw a couple videos which look promising for this sort of thing too.
