Still working well for me, loving it actually!!

Post

Just like to say thanks, 2.3.1 works great for me.
One slight problem I have found. Not sure if it was mentioned before.
The Dark Horse skin, when used. Has a graphic problem with ENV4, when active.
3rd knob from right. Sustain2/LoopA...etc. It's always set all the way left, even when not being used. If I assign it, and double click, it will go all the way left. I can manually adjust and save it to work as expected.

Michael

I think these may have been addressed in the past, but I'm still suffering:

- first note in clip not played in Live7.0.12
- how do I setup a different default template? no offence, but I would like a saw/sine preset rather than the initial pad.

currently running 231 on OSX.

cheers :)

I'll work on these things from January on. During January I'm taking a few weeks of leave though.

I hope to have remaining issues like these fixed for MusikMesse, but I'll post fresh betas anyway :)

hi there,

one question:

when will zebra be able to handle seperate midi learn tables for each instance?
or is it already implemented?

Cheers

It's planned for 2009. Probably not too long into it. Maybe for April already.

after several temptations from other devs i must admit (just trying the soundbank from Menno Mejier, which is fantastic, except from distressing cpu with some sounds :hihi: ), Zebra remains my favourite synth. 2.3 works quite well and is rockyhorrorstable.

cheers and happy happying!

You can lower the cpu usage quite alot by switching those presets voices from (many) to (medium) or (few), then try to turn off some effects if it's not enouph. Most of those presets are set to many voices with lots of effects, that cause high cpu usage.

thanks for the hint! I've done it already, because there are 2 or 3 files that go beyond 70% on my oldsmobile with their original setting.

cheers :)

yesss please!

To further complicate things options to use any single or all channels so that total control or channel specific control would be possible. This would help when using Zebra in live's racks and such.

Seperate midi tables per instance? Yes! Definitely gets my vote.

One master midi map is slightly irksome as it stands, but no different than most VSTIs that use midi learn.

I think it manifests as more of a problem when using Zebra because as it's such a great synth, I use lots of instances in a project.

I can work around it, but I'd much rather Zebra handle it for me 8)

I've noticed that when using an LFO set to either square, or use with steps and assigning it to pitch, that the transition between the steps isn't as sharp as it should be.

Sounds more like there's a slide glide between the notes, instead of an instant sharp jump in pitch like there should be.

When assigning MSEG to osc pitch and drawing square shapes there, it does sound nice n sharp (but then you lose the ability to quantize to 12 steps like you can with the lfo user mode).

Would be cool to see a 12-position snap mode for the MSEG, or for the LFO too (rather than quantize 12) and the LFO transition sharpness fixed :)

The LFO transition sharpness was even worse before (V2.0). Bringing it to the point we have now has caused some patches to explode (3 in Transmission). Hence I'm very reluctant to take the lowpass off any further...

The MSEGs should have a "value snap 12" somewhere? Try a right-click anywhere except a point...?

Cheers,

;) Urs

Is this still on the horizon somewhere?
