I really think the Bitwig step sequencer was trying to be too clever and I hope the add a few more. Even more true for the builtin EQs vs something like Pro-Q. There's a big capability gulf there, but I still use the EQ builtins most of the time, they are just simple and easy for most things.
But yes third party plugs have their whole business on being better than standard, but I hope Bitwig will look at this aspect going forwards.
i.e. Bitwigs modulators are better integrated than those in Cubase, but the modulator windows to control them are an improvement over the Bitwig modulator UIs. I hope Bitwig can take some learning from that.
