Fleer, did you by any chance buy it and try it out already?
if you go to UVI's website and look at the "World Traditions Presets List" on page 4 and below there is a list stating how many loops and how many instrument from each etnic group:

Thanks Hans, but it doesn't say which instruments, and that's what I'm interested to know.

Ah ok I see your point. Now a demo-license would have been nice or a simple presets list of the specific instruments. Why don't you contact their sales department then? They should be happy to answer.

Yes. That's what I thought too. But for that price it's not a surprise. If you want a good ethnic library there is RA from East West. But that's another price category - http://www.soundsonline-europe.com/Ra

Post

True. But I still have to get more comfortable with the EW libraries I have and love, such as Fab Four, Gypsy and Ghostwriter :)
Not really ethnic, though.

totally. That's how I mostly use it. You can't buy it without buying hardware, though (the bargain is for upgrading v1 to v2... It really has it all (sequencer, sampler, sample organizer, drum synth, groove box, etc)...
you mean you can buy the software (full price - not the bargain) and use in your daw even if you don't bought the hardware controller ? I always thought hardware was a necessity.. Good surprise if i was wrong !

edit : looks like they do not sell the soft alone...

Gypsy is ethnic. The others are not. Don't you like their Play engine?

Post

Getting there, slowly but surely :)
Got the CCC Gold with Hollywood instruments.

NO! he wrote: "You can't buy it without buying hardware".

I can sell RA's for the last sale prices. Even with that discount, though, it's still 5 times more than the current UVI sale price.

Post

Cheers, Uncle. I might first try the EW Composer Cloud for a year or so and try out the libs I don't have to finally purchase the ones I like.
