It's on the whishlist.liquidsound wrote:Maybe I didn't think this one deep long enough but,
why is that if I change the length of a group of selected notes (the "end" of the notes) all of them are effected but if I try to modify the start position (the beginning of the notes), only the dragged "note" (just that one) is effected?
In other words:
Editing the end position of multiple selected notes effects All of them
While
Editing the Start position of multiple selected notes effects only the one being edited out of the group.

This is intended.Improviser wrote:Options, for new Part type, after just deleting a Sequence part.
Not sure if this has been covered previously (or is possibly intended behaviour).
Using test version M 3.0.27 (Windows):
1. Record a short midi sequence on Track A (targeted, for example, to Rack A).
2. Add a plugin to slot 1 of Rack A, and check that playback is ok.
3. Delete the Sequence part, from Track A.
4. Double click in Track A, to create a new Part. The options no longer include 'Audio File' (ie 'Sequence' is the only available option ).
Other (blank) tracks are not affected.
5. Then delete the plugin from Rack A.
Double-click in Track A, to add a new Part, and the options are back to normal.
Les J.
It doesn't make sense to put an audio file on a track that targets a synth (i.e. a plugin with no audio ins)

I never tried to stretch the main window over two screens. If it's not working then i'll update the specs saying that MU.LAB supports multi screens for separate windows.Branis wrote:I doesn't seem to work. I can't stretch MuLab's window outside of the screen where it resides, and when I position MuLab to partially fill both screens and then try to stretch it, the other end of the window automatically resizes to the end of screen from where it is stretched. It is possible to use the mixer and the modular area in another screen, though.mutools wrote:Should work fine i think.Eggu wrote:Would be nice to extend e.g. composer window across two screens,
but I suppose this does not work.

As I see, the final version of M3 soon will be released and advertising should be a good thing... So, Jo, did you got my PM ?

An odd one....
EZ Drummer Lite vst doesn't display its interface in MuLab 2.7 or the latest MuLab 3.27. It plays ok.
It opens fine in Live. The .au version works well in Garageband too.
It might be an EZ Drummer problem. Not a biggie for me, but could cause others some confusion.

I'll keep things as is now for it could mean too much work for now to change things in that field.liquidsound wrote:What is the most frequent Part used by MuLab users?
I was thinking that the context menu could show the Sequencer before the Audio.
It is just a little detail but if it is the one mostly used by us it should be the first. Trying to smooth out corners....
Any opinions on this one?
Maybe we can review this in the next big R&D cycle.

When you grab a note in the Key Editor the mouse cursor turns from an arrow to a hand. If the note is small the hand covers the note and it makes it harder to see where you'll drop the note without zooming in.

Maybe the position of the hand can be more down-right, like the arrow is?

There is no immediate solution for this.
Note you can also see the drag position in the info box at the lower right.

There might be an issue with the minimal length of a sequenze part.
I just drew a new part of 1 or 2 beat length.
Then played with the length and moved left or right side.
Though snap is OFF, often the part length seems to be limited, some kind of snap to a a bar or beat, then further reduction not possible, sometimes from the left, sometimes from the right, but sometimes reduction to nearly zero length is possible.
I have not found a special pattern up to now.
When snap in turned ON, and e.g. I move the right end, then the new position does not snap to the grid, but the change of length snaps to grid size,
not always what is wanted (same as in many 3d programs, sometimes you want the new position to snap to the grid, but sometimes you want the change ratio snapping to grid size).

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler!
