Well, you can already download them in AU and VST format, but I'll also add a .h2p version:spritex wrote:Thanks as always, Urs!
Are the old factory presets supposed to be downloadable somewhere yet?

Ah, maybe you should correct the text to indicate that they are the "old" factory presets.
BTW, is that P5/Sonar thing supposed to be fixed (haven't tried on Windows yet)?

I never got an email for the link. Has it been sent out yet? If it has, can I get it resent to me...steve@djstevechristian.com?

Sorry... yeah... I'm too tired now... the last couple of days were close to hellspritex wrote:Ah, maybe you should correct the text to indicate that they are the "old" factory presets.
It's next on my list to check this out... it seems to be a seldom issue and I havn't managed to reproduce it yet. Once I can, I'll offer a fix!BTW, is that P5/Sonar thing supposed to be fixed (haven't tried on Windows yet)?

I've resent it... but after so many mails from my server today I'll be blacklisted on many ISPs for a week or so. A lot of emails will be blocked...stevechristian wrote:I never got an email for the link. Has it been sent out yet? If it has, can I get it resent to me...steve@djstevechristian.com?

Don't forget it's not just one email that goes to everybody at once - one gets sent to each individual, and many commercial mail servers don't like that, even if it's perfectly valid company communication, because they are very sensitive to spam and spammers.stevechristian wrote:I never got an email for the link. So you have to slow down the sending of each email - for large databases this can be several hours or much longer, depending on the steps you have to take. Also, some have a maximum send limit per day - one of my old hosts had email sending limits per hour *and* per day, so with a largish database, large mailouts may even take *days* to complete (frustratingly enough - you can thank the spammers for that...)
Plus add to the the time to route your email, and the percentage of emails that end up in users' spam traps without them realising it, then don't be surprised if you don't get one immediately (I got mine though).

Oh, I wonder what is different between our systems, because it always happens here with my Core2Duo, WinXP/Vista, Project5 combination. And only on those patches with a Compressor in the FX.Urs wrote:spritex wrote:It's next on my list to check this out... it seems to be a seldom issue and I havn't managed to reproduce it yet. (It's not important to me, anymore. But I'll help you track it down if you need, when you want to look into it.)

I also had a quick question...So when you install the patch, will it essentially "replace" the existing factory presets or add another folder with a series of presets? Just curious!

I have a pretty custom preset layout. The installer just put the directories alongside what I already had in there. I don't know what would happen if I had identically named presets or folders however...stevechristian wrote:I also had a quick question...So when you install the patch, will it essentially "replace" the existing factory presets or add another folder with a series of presets? I backed up the folder first (safety first!), but the installer just added the new stuff into the existing location, and left all the previous stuff intact.stevechristian wrote:I also had a quick question...So when you install the patch, will it essentially "replace" the existing factory presets or add another folder with a series of presets? That's how it should be! Nothing will be erased. The new stuff is on top level ("Top 20 presets") and in 9 directories with unusual names. They'll just sit on top.beej wrote:the installer just added the new stuff into the existing location, and left all the previous stuff intact.
