[EDIT]

This thread was about the last beta vewrsion - but now it's out :D

Enjoy!

Hi,

Here's the latest beta version of Zebra V2.2:

Win: http://www.u-he.com/Zebra22b6Win.zip (VST Win installer)

Mac: http://www.u-he.com/Zebra22b6AU.zip (UB .component, VST soon)

It should fix most minor bugs that came with recent improvements. If it works for you it's highly recommended to use this version rather than any prior release/beta.

Edit:

Here's a list of some things that happen from V2.1 to V2.2:

The most notable improvements are

- GUI preserves state upon close/open (most tabs)

- current Preset Directory is remembered, and saved with song

- text has more contrast (Win version)

- Receptor compatibility

- less dependency from System dlls (Win)

- faster gui opening, preset loading

The most notable bugfix is the infamous MSEG bug that came with Single Trigger mode in V2.1 (which unfortunately was evident on some of the new Oldskool patches when not using the V2.2)

Further fixes:

- import of waveforms with jupiter8's tool now supports all 16 slots without crash

- most dead modulation targets (i.e. FX Return, global LFOs) are not dead anymore, but envelope times can still not be targeted

- Reverb may sound more dense on SSE2 systems due to a fix in the SSE layer - if you want the old sound, turn Diffusor Feedback to 0.00

Cheers,

;) Urs

"zebralette - a perfect tool to teach your kids to sofware synthesis". Seems to be a nice slogan to promote zebralette.

Congratulations djsubject!

Sorry for the OT, thanks to Urs for the update.

There should be a document coming with it... From beta5 to beta6 I think it's mainly a bugfix in the new homegrown routines that replace slow/unreliable system routines.

I've added a list of things that are specific to V2.2 in the first post :)

Cheers,

;) Urs

Hello Urs, first post here. First up I'd like to thank you for your amazing plugins, not much I can say other than how much I love them, absolutely brilliant.

I seem to have encountered a small glitch in this version though. When using the alternate tuning circuit, the whole scale seems to be shifted up a couple of octaves. I am using an intel mac on osx 10.4.10 in Ableton Live 6.0.10, and am loading .tun files created in Jeff Scott's Lil Miss Scale Oven, a process that worked perfectly in 2.1. Unfortunately though I cannot tell you whether this bug is exclusive to this 2.2 beta, as this is the first one that I have used.

If there is any important information that I have overlooked I will be happy to provide it.

Thanks again and best regards, Mark.

Ok... Thanks... I'll look into it...

The tun file loader is also affected by the new routines... there might be some hickup here...
