I couldn't agree more. I have lost count of the amount of tutorials I've seen, where they just waste time. Some of them tell us what's going to happen in the next video - I don't need to know that as I'll just watch the next video! Then they tell you in the intro of the next video what the video is going to be about, yet the title of the video usually explains it.

Most tutorials seem to assume that we're either stupid, or have never used a synth before. Whereas what I want is one that is succinct and doesn't waste my time.

Can't wait for this Diva update, that new filter sounds great!

I could be picky about paid-for tutorials. However, I appreciate an effort and good gesture that authors of free tutorials make. No complains from me.

Another week gone by.....no Diva 1.3
If all it is waiting for is the GUI to be finished, the graphic artist is sure taking his or her sweet time?
I'm a professional graphic artist, let me pop that baby out.

If you can play the tutorial back in VLC you can up the speed. And you can add the speed up and down buttons to the fullscreen control. I've watched some of the Kenny Gioa's Reaper tutorials that way, and they're already faster than most. There's also a Windows tray utility that can speed up YouTube videos but I don't remember the name of that one. Without the speedup, some tutorials are worse than sleeping pills.

I am afraid with this graphic artist working on it right now....it could another 12 months.
Sorry been checking the Diva page everyday if not twice a day, I'm all juiced up with angst.

In the meantime while waiting I just checked out Spire synth, pretty sweet synth with a nice arp/sequencer.

U-he has a very kind behind the scenes way of letting you know what they are working on. Let him keep his 'I'm just a guy' style. Some team of handlers around him would have either kept him quite or made him put out some product he didn't want you to see just yet.

I hope all this moaning only leads to Urs adding a very obvious caveat when predicting release dates and not choosing to, instead, keep the curtains shut completely.

Maybe he learnt a lesson about predicting release dates and we did the same about predictions.

Diva's sequencer turned out to be a tough one. Slight feature changes were followed by huge changes in UI. Add to that any special requirements of major hosts to have MIDI sequences dragged into their track windows... there you go, nearly finished in April, then a moving target till now. Currently awaiting final graphics.

I don't suppose MIDI can be dragged into Diva as well?

It can be, from your harddrive and other Divas, but not from your arrange window. You can however drag MIDI from Diva to either harddrive, arrange windows (at least Cubase and Logic, probably more DAWs) and other Divas.

Actually copying a sequence from one pattern to another is just dragging a midi file from one button to another
