Absynth 5 is also an amazing sounding synth. It can do lots of things no u-he synth does. Quite complimentary.

I wish Absynth didn't have those weird text entry fields for parameters. Really causes a disconnect for me. Suprised they never, in all the upgrade versions, gave an option to have knobs or sliders instead. I think it would turn a lot of people onto it as beyond the dull GUI is a fascinating and unique world of sound.

It does take a bit of getting used to, but it's great that you have those hivelike button-sliders to the right of the text input field. Removes the need for using modifier keys for slower or faster adjusting of parameter vlaues.

Yeah, Absynth was originally developed outside NI by Brian Clevinger and bought by them. I think he works for them now.
It's an awesome synth, one of my favorites. The thing to do with the button-sliders is link them to macro controls which can be assigned MIDI CCs. The macros can be individual or combined into XYs. It's very flexible.
