Ok

Im a bit confused with it, can it also behave like a more 'traditional' ARP, you know, play a chord on my midi keyboard and it plays each note in turn without having to program the steps myself,
maybe its been a long day

No but that's what presets are for. Presets will be added.

Attached a typical arpeggiator preset. (in MUX format)
Put it in front of a synth and play some MIDI notes and have arpi fun.

There is a new M7.0.4 in http://www.mutools.com/galaxa/

What's changed:
  • In case the focused module keyboard is hidden, you can right-click there to show it again.
  • Step Sequencer: Fixed a crash bug when inserting/deleting a step in the MIDI controller pane.
  • Multi-point envelope editor: When dragging the start/end loop flag, sometimes dragging was obstructed in an odd way. Fixed.
How to update:

OSX: Replace the existing M7 MuLab.app file by the new version in the small zip file.

Windows: Replace the existing M7 MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID files by the new versions in the small zip file.

Thanks Jo ,I'm going to test :tu:

Maybe a good point to maybe fix a problem what already existed in Mulab 6 but still is there in Mulab 7.0.4.

I have chopped a midi file into different clips and deleted the chops/clips with nothing in it, so there is kind of "empty space" on the track between the clips.

When now I would chase an instrument with long, evolving tones (as VST example where it occours often is Absynth or a lot of Kontakt instruments like strings with staccato for example) the sound wont stop in the empty space but will go on forever.

It is no problem with the midi file/notes or a special vst, I have tested the same midi file with same instruments in Tracktion without problem, there the sound stops where it should (in the empty spaces between the clips). Seems Mulab did not interprete the empty space as "midi off" or anything in that direction.

For me thats really a big problem, it is not just one tone, the vst plays on forever, even if you turn it on and off it is still there.

Thanks for the new update, keyboard option is back and thanks for the Arp mux but thats not quite what I was talking about.
One only has to press one key and it runs through all the notes, but what I meant was,
press one key and it repeats that note, add a second key and it alternates tween the 2, add a third and it runs through 3 notes and so on, playing them as and when added or not playing them when keys are released. A good example of this type of ARP would be RandArp.

FR (which is desperately needed but rarely noticed...): When popping up "Couldn't find VST plug-in XXXX", please add a third option: either "Abort" to cancel loading the project entirely or "Ignore All" to ignore all future unfound VSTs. I just loaded a project with well over a hundred VSTs (around 35 tracks, at least 3 VSTs per track) and having to click "ignore" on each (because I really don't want to manually find them right now) is very painful. (Actually, it wasn't that bad -- I just held down "I" in the end.)

Please email me a (simple) project that demonstrates this.

Hi Joe,

in short I could not find a musynth preset that reproduces exactly what happen with Absynth/Kontakt etc. but I think you can imagine from the sample project.

Even with the Texture preset the clip plays on after the last note/end of clip. Difference to Absynth/Kontakt: at least it stops sometime while the mentioned did not stop at all but just play on endlessly.

Hope that helps.

Maybe it's not exactly as some other typical arps, but this arp also is big fun and musically useful, no?
