Hey Dom, I don't know if you were over there, but would you happen to know what audio interface was used at the NAMM presentation for outputting CV signals?

Do you happen to know if Martin is using Bitwig?
EDIT: to answer my own question, he seems to be using Logic only.

I don't know which audio interface they were using, but they were using the new Klik device from Bastl (http://www.bastl-instruments.com/instruments/klik/) to take the audio signals and to raise them to Eurorack signal levels.ras.s wrote:Hey Dom, I don't know if you were over there, but would you happen to know what audio interface was used at the NAMM presentation for outputting CV signals?

Any DC-coupled interface should work - and in this case it is a Motu Ultralite.

I've been calling Claes, Klaus in my messages. Never even looked at the name badge, just couldn't hear him well when we introduced ourselves.
Sorry Dom, Claes. Sorry about any confusion that may have caused.

No need to be sorry! It is not exactly the most usual name in the world!
Ah, and regarding the audio interfaces: there are more than just the Motu interfaces, googling for DC-coupled interfaces easily should give you more options...

No such luck with my Focusrite Scarlett it seems - so I'm "lucky" that I don't have any analogue hardware anywaydom@bitwig wrote:Ah, and regarding the audio interfaces: there are more than just the Motu interfaces, googling for DC-coupled interfaces easily should give you more options...

So the other layouts don't support multitouch at all?smoothny wrote:There is a problem with this 3 display setup, the Bitwig touch mode only supports one display. So if you want to use 3 displays at the same time with one touch, you can't use that mode with the onscreen dials etc.digitalfix wrote:lol very goodu-u-u wrote:lots of new features unveiled in this one
I recon a 3 display setup with 1 being touch will be the way forward for me.sonson5 wrote:This video is insane, I must say that I truly hate windows from the bottom of my heart as I am a mac user, I bought a maxed out surface pro 4 at some point in life just to try bitwig and all its glory on a touch screen but it was a bad experience because of the OS(windows ). For me it was unbearable but I must say watching bitwig 2 on a big screen(surface studio) feels amazing . I can only dream of such interesting sound design sessions where you only use your hands and immerse in the Music making process and not by some computer keyboard and a mouse..as much as i hate windows I must say that this definitely looks like the damn future..
Greetings,
smoothny

I setup the Surface Studio which they used at the show. I tested CV output with a MOTU 828mk3 and an Expert Sleepers ES-3. They were using a MOTU Ultralite at the show. (edit: Oops, looks like Dom mentioned that and I missed his post)Excds wrote:I don't know which audio interface they were using, but they were using the new Klik device from Bastl (http://www.bastl-instruments.com/instruments/klik/) to take the audio signals and to raise them to Eurorack signal levels.ras.s wrote:Hey Dom, I don't know if you were over there, but would you happen to know what audio interface was used at the NAMM presentation for outputting CV signals?
Expert Sleepers have a list of Audio Interfaces with DC-couple outputs on their site: http://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/siwacompatibility.html
